As I was nearly out of Carnuba wax ( Mother’s pure Brazilian) I went out and bought a bottle of this. Appearance of the product isn’t as rich looking as the mothers but you never said how good it smelled Grum. I could get addicted to this stuff. Used a little on the roof of my car, and it came up great. Will do the bike next week. It certainly is easy to apply and remove.

I honestly have no idea if there is benefit to doing this RaYzerman, but I had half a dozen small magnets sticking on my filing cabinet doing nothing so figured it can’t hurt sticking one on the filter. I will never go to the trouble of cutting a filter open to see either, but again it can’t hurt so why not.

Thanks for reminding me, have been meaning to attach a magnet to both my bikes oil filters, just did both, complicated job. Must have saved me heaps.

This all sounds way too familiar, unfortunately my service station mishap did not end so well as some of you may remember. Glad you got out of it so lightly.

Picked up a new helmet to wear on the Triumph. Can’t believe how close the colour match is, almost exactly matched.

Hi Grum, first time Hi Grum, first time I have noticed the small HRC decal, is a Repsol one to follow? 🤔

This bike is currently for sale in Australia. Looks stunning and sounds like a very professional restoration. While not original I wouldn’t mind it sitting in my garage.

Someone visiting a neighbour parked this in front of my place today, I remember when these came out, overshadowed by there bigger brother but very nice in there own right. In excellent condition despite its age.

Received this today. Found it second hand on World of Books. Listed as very good condition, and received in very good condition. One other copy available if anyone is interested.

Thanks Chitta, couldn’t find this info on the sc project website but suspected that would be the case.

Can anyone with a SC Project exhaust confirm that it is compatible with the OEM panniers?

Welcome Paul800, I am sure you will only become more impressed with the VFR the more you ride it. Five years on and I still have a grin on my face just looking at it in the garage. Have 36,000km on mine and have had no problems at all, many on this forum have two to three times that mileage without any issues. Will have to check to see if I have similar markings. Ride safe and enjoy.

Definitive 8th gen - 5th gen exhaust fitment
Philois1984 replied to VFRXX's topic in Fifth Generation VFR's
Are my eyes deceiving me 😳 2821 miles on a 5th gen !!! Love the two brothers can, looks and sounds great. Yellow looks stunning.👍🏼 -
Replaced my air filter. Still had the original one fitted, didn’t look too bad to me ? But I changed it anyway. Tank only had around 1 to 2 litres of fuel which made it much easier. Made sure the breather hose wasn’t kinked when I lowered the tank.

I am thinking of fitting the Honda badges from my old fuel tank to my panniers. Thought I would get some opinions on the placement of them. What do you guys and girls think? A,B, C or D. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos.

I have a go pro mount fixed to the top of my T-Rex sliders. They are the perfect size for a mount. The angle looks very good on twisty roads as you can see the movement of the front suspension and get a sense of speed as the camera is reasonably close to the road. I control it with the remote but only while stopped. Here’s a link to a video from this position. https://youtu.be/O3pyKSR_XcI

I might try and hold out just a little longer, taking her out for a spin in the morning. Had planned a trip to Brisbane next week but unfortunately have had to cancel due to family emergency. Hopefully will get to go in a few months.

I would see if you can’t get a replacement as the fault surely lies in the packing of the cowl.

How many mi/km did the OEM tires last you?
Philois1984 replied to sigint's topic in Eighth Generation VFR's
I managed 12,000Km out of the OEM Dunlop’s, considering we don’t have a lot of twistys around Townsville (and I weigh over 100kg) I thought that was pretty good (it was the rear that was flat spotted of course) I seem to be the odd one out as I had no issues with them at all, I actually replaced them with same Dunlop D222 Sportsmax and got the same mileage again. Michelin pilot 5’s we’re getting rave reviews when I was due for my third set so I gave them a try. I am also very happy with them, the only place I really notice a difference is in the wet, where the pilot 5’s are excellent. I am not someone who gets their knee down, but I don’t potter around either. I currently am up to 12,000km on the pilot 5’s and it looks l will get another 3 to 4K out of the rear, front looks good. I am hoping to head to the south east corner in a few weeks so I may get them replaced a little early just so I have a new set of tyres for the glorious twistys in that area. May be wasting $100 but figure it’s worth it as I don’t get down there very often. . -
