  1. I did a similar thing to my panniers, love the gold coloured Honda Wing decal.
  2. As I was nearly out of Carnuba wax ( Mother’s pure Brazilian) I went out and bought a bottle of this. Appearance of the product isn’t as rich looking as the mothers but you never said how good it smelled Grum. I could get addicted to this stuff. Used a little on the roof of my car, and it came up great. Will do the bike next week. It certainly is easy to apply and remove.
  3. Hi Grum, first time Hi Grum, first time I have noticed the small HRC decal, is a Repsol one to follow? 🤔
  4. Replaced my air filter. Still had the original one fitted, didn’t look too bad to me ? But I changed it anyway. Tank only had around 1 to 2 litres of fuel which made it much easier. Made sure the breather hose wasn’t kinked when I lowered the tank.

Took these recently of my other ride, will have to take some of the VFR in the same location.

  8. Went for a quick ride to Paluma with my mate Andrew and his new 6th Gen, only 8,000km on the clock and in pristine condition. He has owned a 6th Gen VFR before and has seen the light once again.
  9. The Creek has received a good flush out after recent heavy rains.

  13. OOOPS, it was late when I spotted this ad, sorry I didn’t look at every photo, just thought wow that’s some impressive mileage. On another note a mate just took delivery of this sixth gen yesterday. Very very nice.

Have done the same thing, it is immediately obvious how much more room people allow when they see the camera. The more obvious the camera the better the result. I mounted a GoPro mount on the passenger seat cowl works a charm when I use it.
  15. Hi Philois1984, Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  16. Had breakfast there with my wife this morning Grum, a bit too late for the sunrise though. It certainly is a beautiful spot. Will try for the silhouette shot next time. Did you see my new ride Grum?
  17. I am heading off on a 5 day ride in the middle of July, the mate I am travelling with has a M1-S Pro from Fodsports. I rarely ride in multiple rider groups so I am mainly concerned with the music quality, rider to rider voice quality and ease of use using voice commands. At this stage I don’t use navigation devices so can’t help you there. Like you the Pactalk Bold seemed a lot of money. Will keep you posted.
  18. Just got word from Powerbronze that my screen and hugger arrived in Melbourne and are now in the post on there way to me ( no Aust Post jokes I work for them 😄) Also just ordered a Cardo Freecom 4 plus ( JBL speaker’s) ordered from Chromeburner as even with postage it is a $100 cheaper than I can get it for in Oz. It was in FedEx’s hands less than 12 hrs after I ordered it. My cheapie Fodsports intercom is starting to cut out halfway through a ride so time for a upgrade.
  19. There is a 6 th gen service manual download available on this forum in the downloads section. That should explain where the tube goes. I suspect the tube has come off as you lifted the tank. Sorry I can’t help more.
  20. Welcome Pete, I am sure you will enjoy your VFR and this forum. I am sure you will get lots of advice on how to lighten your bike. I need to lighten myself before I start worrying about my eighth gen 😁
  21. I make enough popping and gurgling sounds myself, I don’t like my exhaust to mimic me 👴🏼
  22. Fitted the new Atlas Throttle Lock this morning. Installation was easy, though I was doubting myself that it was on correctly. I thought it was sitting up too high, but it looks the same as the photos on the instructions. I ended up using the thinnest spacer, not a lot of room between the grip and the throttle housing. Comparing it to the Kaoko I find the Atlas much much easier to engage and disengage. I seemed to have to turn the Kaoko more than 360 deg to get it to engage. Also with gloves on I found I accidentally engaged it a couple of times in the twisties. Performance is the same, the speed wanders a little either way with both. The Kaoko is visually far better in my opinion.
  23. Glad you weren’t halfway through a sweeping left hand corner at speed 😬 Glad it was just an inconvenience for you.
