Hi Grum, My computer undoubtedly doesn’t meet the requirements. However my TV is only six months old and certainly does, it supports the MotoGP and Kayo ect without any problems. What I don’t understand is why I couldn’t watch today’s practice on my iPad or find the app when searching the App Store on the TV, it brings up the MotoGP app and the F1 app but not SBK. I looked on a couple of other forums and it seems to be a common issue, opinion seems to be that it is a terrible app. Thanks for the suggestions though Grum.

I subscribed to the SBK Video Pass (for the first time ever) this morning at a cost of €69.90. I downloaded the app to my iPad, tried to download it on my Sony Bravia TV but it isn’t showing up when I search the App Store on the TV. On my (old) computer I get a “not available for this device “ message. The main problem is on my iPad I am still unable to watch the practice sessions from today. The app is free so what did I actually pay for. I have had no issues on previous years with the Moto GP Video Pass. What if anything am I missing? Thanks for any enlightenment you can shed on this issue.

Hi Dutchy, nearly correct on the spelling mate it’s actually Roppongi (don’t worry I had to check myself) we went there a few years ago but not this year. I did partake of some sake last night actually, I tried a sampler selection and they were all very good, didn’t get drunk though.

Went to the hotel last night on the way to dinner, looked through the window and the RC30 was gone, I didn’t go in but I will check again before we leave Hakuba.

Thanks VFR80025th and Terry, got this done this morning, A1 size and laminated. Came out great. Cost $38.50 at Officeworks.

Hi Grum, I will definitely try to convince my wife that this is the place we should stay (it’s about 30metres from her favourite restaurant) As for taking it for a ride, probably wouldn’t be very beneficial for it at all with me riding and several inches (or feet) of snow on the ground 🫣🥶 I actually managed to get a short ride in yesterday on the Triumph. Have been laid up for about three weeks recovering from an operation (nothing serious) and then it’s been raining most days, finally had some blue skies. Nice little cafe on the beach front. Hope you are keeping well Grum. Ja Ne Phil San

I was just browsing through some accomodation options in Japan looking for somewhere new to stay (2025, you have to get in early 🪱🦜) and came across a hotel with this photo of it’s lobby. It has to be a sign right…..

Sorry for the late reply, only just saw your post. Have had mine fitted for a couple of years now, (dark tint) very happy with the looks and quality of it. Still looks good, doesn’t seem to scratch easily. Not a massive difference from stock though.

Pressure causes any air bubbles to reduce in size, making it easier for them to rise up through the brake lines. Have never done this myself but am told it does work.

Sorry to hear that you are in hospital Grum, hope you are out and riding again soon. -
I purchased one from powerbronze very happy with it. Easy to install as long as you don’t have humungas hands. Still available from what I can see. It’s a UK company but available from Australia also.

How do you find it? Comfortable, hot ect

Ixon is a well known brand, has been around a while. The jacket (Vortex 2) has CE level 2 shoulder and elbow protector’s and a pocket for a back protector. It is also compatible with their air bag vest. It does come in a couple of much flashier colours but I don’t worry about my jacket colour too much safety wise. The way I look at it is if they don’t see a bright red motorcycle with modern LED headlights coming at them the jacket colour will make stuff all difference. I’m all for anything that will make me look a bit more manly though 😂

New donation from Philois1984
Philois1984 replied to Philois1984's topic in 2022 Operational Budget topics
Only just realised I hadn’t donated this year, at least I got in before 2023. Thanks for all the work you do. Have a great Xmas. -
Hi Philois1984, Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion

I don’t find it any harder to see than the speedometer, you do need a special case to mount it but most newer iPhones are waterproof now anyway.

Finally installed a quad lock stem mount on the VFR, including vibration damper and USB charger. Haven’t ridden with it yet, but the visibility looks good.

Not my favourite custom paint (wrap) but still looks good.

Despite the price I highly recommend the quad lock. Just did a trip to the tip of Cape York in Queensland Australia on a KLR 650 lots of dirt, sand and corrugations. Had no problems at all. Also just returned from a trip to Brisbane on my Triumph America (4,600km of riding all up) and again was very happy with it. Very secure. I hardwired the usb charger to the battery. The only issue I had was on the first day of the return trip it rained heavily for about 4hours. About 2 hours in it stopped charging (and yes I did install the usb charger pointing down) phone came up with the message water detected in lightning connector. Worked fine when it dried out. Apparently you can solve this problem by putting a little blue tack aroun the connector after you have plugged it in. Ordered a stem mount and another usb charger for my VFR last night.

It must be the quickest case of MBD ever, he’s now the proud owner of a red 5th gen 🏆 (let’s try that again 4th gen, it had been a long day riding back from Brisbane) maybe I did have something to do with it after all….

There’s my mistake, I was on my Triumph 😂
