  1. Welcome to the forum-beautiful color btw. Don't think we got that color in the states.
  2. Do you mean you can't get it into neutral when you say "it stays in gear"? Or the lights don't show up? Have you checked all the fuses?
  3. That's an impressive array of updates/repairs. I wish I had the time, tools and knowledge to do such a job. I know my '98 needs it. Congrats on a great job!
  4. I can confirm using the Attack map that was done w/ a PCIII USB results in much more pronounced thrust once past 7,000 RPM.
  5. Thanks. I'll check out their eBay site.
  6. I live in the US. Is there a distributor here?
  7. I am in the market for a new shock as well-mine is ancient at this point and since I've had the front forks redone it's time to get the rear up to par. How do you like the YSS shock?
  8. Don't know about "heated" but had one of their replacement seats w/ cowl on my '98 VFR and it was the most uncomfortable seat I'd ever sat on-and to boot the red pain on the cowling wasn't even close to matching the pain of the bike.
  9. I feel for you-a couple years ago I hit a similar huge hole in the highway in Nashville and hit so hard the pipe bracket broke and the pipe swing out-that was a fun ride home. Hope you get it sorted.
  10. Welcome! Nice looking red one. I need to ride on of the newer versions of the VFR-be interesting to see/feel the differences from my '98.
  11. Same. Around 50-60 mph in 3rd gear then wide open throttle will induce slippage for 1-2 seconds then it will catch and catapult me into extralegal speeds. My '98 has right at 50,000 miles on it.
  12. I bought one of those years ago and the paint was so mismatched and its fitting so poor I immediately returned it.
  13. Hi interceptor69, Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  14. part 4
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that if the Polyvance repair doesn't hold.
  16. I ordered a Polyvance kit off eBay. Hope this works but if the stresses that broke it the first time are present it will likely break again. Thanks for the suggestions. The Lego solution appeals to me as terribly clever but I don't have a Lego or acetone, although I could get both. I'll try the kit first and it that doesn't work I'll go the Lego route. Thanks again.
  17. Thank you. Since it's not visible won't have to worry about beauty, just durability.
  18. This plastic piece broke off after hitting a particularly bad pothole. It's there any way to repair this? I can't imagine adhesive of any kind would be strong enough. Ideas? BTW it's the rear cowling.
  19. Just read this on the Cycle World site. Had me going for a minute... https://www.cycleworld.com/story/blogs/ienatsch-tuesday/the-ride-better-drug/ tps://www.cycleworld.com/story/blogs/ienatsch-tuesday/the-ride-better-drug/
  20. Aw man, I didn't notice the dates. I was noticing the pictures- should have paid more attention to the text. I feel better now!
  21. Unfortunately the 5th gen isn't in the top 10. https://www.visordown.com/features/top-10s/v4-vital-10-greatest-honda-v4-motorcycles-bless-us
  22. I also had this problem when installing new sprockets. The piston slowly protruded and I had to use a small c- clamp to push the piston back in. Then everything fit and I was able to get the housing flush with the engine case. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  23. She's a Black Beauty!
  24. Same here. Just a little golden hue. Did you have yours passivated?
