  1. Perhaps upload the Dyno charts as incentive-doubt a Delkevic or BW would yield such HP/torque gains.
  2. Thank you for the many years you kept this valuable site active and engaging. I will miss it tremendously, as I rely on the vast knowledge and experience found here to keep my '98 running and looking good. I want to thank every member here who has given me advice and shared their knowledge. I guess we could all migrate over to the "other VFR site". I'm a member there but never visit anymore......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
  3. https://youtu.be/mYOh5IOyawA And the ducks (or are they geese?) crossing the road with the young 'uns.
  4. https://youtu.be/rAC9XGRqx6A Another video of a section of the Ridge outside Bellevue TN.
  5. Snippet of a fairly quick ride outside Bellevue TN. Ridge 5-6-23.mp4
  6. Didn't know there was a map created for the 8th gen. Which PC do you use?
  7. Absolutely-using the map done at Attack Performance the increase in thrust was significant especially at higher rpms.
  8. not exactly header porn but here is my '98. These were of the 1st run and the fit wasn't exact as the bottom pipes protrude under the fairing but who looks under there? 😉
  9. If you weren't in the UK I would mail you the 3 I have left over from my installing my set. If someone here in the US needs 3 of the gaskets from Delkevic let me know.
  10. First ride of 2023 and it was wondrous-clear blue skies, minimal traffic, minimal gravel on the roads, but many trees down from the severe storms of Friday. Had to ride over electric lines a few times. This is a curvy ride about 20 minutes outside Nashville and it's one of my favorite roads anywhere. It was going well until I got behind Grandma in the white SUV. Unfortunately I couldn't safely pass her and missed the mini corkscrew, which is a steep downhill while curving L then R as it ascends another hill-best set of curves on the ride but there's another day. I am amazed at this 25 year old motorcycle and how closely it performs (in some ways better) than when new. GOPR1517.MP4
  11. My '98 has the OG clutch and has appx 40,000 mi and appears fine.
  12. I can confirm using the Attack map that was done w/ a PCIII USB results in much more pronounced thrust once past 7,000 RPM.
  13. Hi interceptor69, Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  14. Same here. Just a little golden hue. Did you have yours passivated?
  15. They are the real deal and if they ever run another batch you should consider buying a set.
  16. Watching the MotoAmerica races and there's a view of Mt Ranier in the background-said it was gonna be over 100 degrees today and tomorrow. Glad you got out early. Beautiful view.
  17. Loaded the Attack map onto the PC III and went out for a 105 mile ride. My bike is as close as possible to the bike used on the Dyno at Attack-headers, PC III, K & N air filter and free flowing pipe. First impressions are that the PC III and the Attack map result in a much smoother power delivery from below 4K to redline. It reminds me of how if felt when I first rode it but w/ more power throughout the rev range. Very impressive pulling power, even in top gear when over 7K rpms. Gotta hold on for sure up there! Great work all around. I can't thank sfdownhill and Duc2V4 for all the hard work to get these headers built and shipped as well as the long hours spent at Attack Performance getting this map done. Bravo!
  18. Thanks. I PM'd him. Do you think you will get better HP and torque numbers from a custom map? Dumb question-of course you will but how much better I wonder. Be interested in how much better-please let us know!
