  1. I was going to do the axel only conversion, and have one with the kit from VFRR welded if anyone is interested PM me. I ended up going with Keef's conversion wanting to use a 5.5 848 wheel and two pot caliper. Waiting on a 520 sprocket and ill post a completed thread.

  3. BusyLittleShop, I had a bit of discoloration under my wrap after a couple of years, so cleaned up with 3M and put a coat of exhaust paint on the down pipes hoping that would prevent any corrosion?
  4. Triples lowered 10mm Yes, I think the exhaust is literally worth more then the bike. The cowl pad is labled CSS, but I cant find o line search.
  5. I tried lots of variations for reducing heat, found the best is using reflective tape as you did, wrapping two rear down pipes with titanium wrap, "no other worked well" and removing heat shield to allow some air flow

    He Chris,

I wanted to get your thoughts? I broke down, having white connection block between stator and rectifier melted, if soldering would be the best option?

    Thx!!!

  9. [attachment=47363:extend.jpg] Picked up an assortment of miscellaneous bits from the hardware store and got lucky. A 1.5-inch extender did the trick. An old school wrench will do the trick
  10. yes they fit perfectly without trimming seal.
  11. Yes the 2008 fit perfectly if you are happy with the seals on the COP fitting inside the valve covers as apposed to them being capped on top. I think you would need the longer COP if you wanted to additionally cut and fit a capped seal.

Rush, I think that was the corner you dropped your cigarette in? Yep I can see it there on the left side under your peg!!
  17. My 5th gen with Iridium plugs are still working fine... I used 2008 CBR1K COPS... I know not 4th gen, but... +1, 2008 COP's with iridium plugs 5th gen, running great
  18. I sent that question to Jamie as a PM, probably should not have copy a pasted as is without letting him know, so he could reread and adjust any flipped or off the cuff remarks in a quick response to me. I didn't read anything into it until I read some of the feedback. I have PM Jamie over the years asking for advise on suspension set up, he has always taken the time to respond never questioning my race tech internals or suggesting his services. So I think he was responding to my PM not choosing his words for public scrutiny. Ive posted a ride report and if Jamie reads this, which i hope he doesn't, Sorry!!
  19. I asked Jamie is there were differences between TraxxionD vs DMr kits. Response; Yes, lots! The Traxxion kits are poorly designed and generate WAY too much compression damping and WAY not enough rebound damping. My experiences are they are marginally unrideable! My kits used tried-and-true valving setups that I've used for over 15 years so I have a detailed database of calculations and configurations to suit all riders and types of riding. I installed the kits Saturday in two hours, directions with the kit are very detailed easy to follow. Most time consuming is taking forks off and on. Should have rest of bike put together soon and will give ride report
  20. I purchased the Samco hose kit in November. Once received cut mine off attempted to install, kit was short 3 65 -80mm hoses, and the overflow (cap to resivor) hose which i did not ask for. Two of the hoses were the thermostat hoses, the other attaching the radiator cap. I contacted Racbikebitz let them know, and asked for three short hoses already provided in kit to expedite the process so i could cut to length and offered to send the original hoses so they could duplicate to complete kit and avoid others having same issue. 20 or so emails and six months later I've been told i will get the 3 hoses needed next month " which I've been told for three months, and that everyone else seems to be happy with the hoses provided as they have had no other complaints. I know of two other people on this forum waiting for there additional hoses. Ive ordered honda hoses so i can get my throttle bodies back on and get bike back together after winter many/mods. So the Samco kit is expensive, incomplete, and the service is shit.
  21. OK", I'll do an install thread. Its is easy, but I'm not a good technical writer, so this might be my first and last, will see how it goes. :)
  22. Received my DMr fork cartridge kits from Jamie today, the fit and finish is Amazing. Will follow up with ride report next week. With Jamie's first priority being an expert tuned suspension, I'm looking forward to the ride, because the a qualify fit and finish of the kit is "Work of Art"! Thx
  23. What was the follow up to this pic?
  24. 2008 CBR1000 COP's and harness, 1.4 lbs lighter, much cleaner, -4 coils hanging all over the bike. Thanks Rush and Mohawk for the assistance
