  1. I agree, its a very good bike. But 40 kg less and a better fuel economy should make it perfect.
  2. Please remove the black. The gear position sensor or de secundairy gearbox axis sensor is faulty. And yes count the fashes a long one is 10 a short one = count so 1 long and 3 short ones is MIL 13. ( for example ) Tell me the code and will look the error up in de maintainance manual.
  3. He Dae did Honda help you with the shaft issue ?
  4. I run S20 in front and a T30 rear. A good combination. With the S20 the steering is much quicker.
  5. I will try a pair of Bridstone T30 tires. I will post my experiences with this tyres.
  6. On a VFR1200 are no splines to be lubricated. The manual say change the final drive oil every 24000 km. I have done that simple. Do it more often is a waste of money and time.
  7. I have fitted an ohlins shock en cartriges. Best money spended ever. The dealer flashed the ecu. I have updated the firmware of the PC-v and put some new maps in it. The VFR1200 is more fuel efficient now. from 13,5 km/L to 15km/l I have fitted S20 tires on the bike. Makes the steering much quik. Rear tire S20 is wearing too fast so gone fit a Bt016 pro on the rear. So what is the best mod: 1st beter quality suspension espessialy when riding fast on twisty roads. 2nd ecu update in combination with new maps 3rd Akrapovic exhaust for more grunt and a beter sound 4th removal of the 1st and 2nd gear restrictions.
  8. First figure out why the bearing did go out . Is there an obstruction in one of the main oil bearing supply chanals ? Clean the engine very very good !!! Use new conrod bolts !!
  9. Fotodadi i hope Honda will supply you a new engine. Good luck.
  10. Just a reminder :)
  11. Yes you are right. Speed is measured with a zumo 350 GPS.
  12. I have removed the limiter, it does 270 km/h
  13. I have checked the valve clearances myself @ 26000 km. All the valves where in spec but some intake valve where a bit tighter. So i would suggest forget the 26000km check but do check @ 52000 km ( 32000 mi ) If you revit high all the time check the valves.
  14. I agree. Its just no supersports bike.
  15. The MIL codes shown are 21 and 22. I will look the codes up in my manual. i will post the aswer later. ps do you use a PC-V with lamda eliminators ?
  16. I think the oem pegs are to low. I scratch them on the tarmac while riding in the bends. I already modyfied the oem suspension rear öhlins front stiffersprings and modified shim stack.
  17. In europe honda does the job. I will go to my dealer to get the 2012 map.

  19. Check if there is a firmware update in your PC-v possible. To upgrade the firmware first upgrade the powercommander sw on your pc, after you did thet you have the possibility to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. ( there was a dropped cilinder issue solved in the latest firmware. ) The firmware update is in 2 steps. first the boatlader is upgraded then the firmware of the PC-V. So it is nessesary to try several times to upgrade before you are done. Backup you maps first.
  20. The explanation of the codes is in the user manual. But if you tell me the # long blinks and the # short blinks i am willing to look up the code and tell you the error.
  21. I would say that the 2012 eu honda map is richer low down in revs than the 2010 eu honda map. That should be the reason it is possible to lean it out in the PC-v map. If you have a US bike or a 2010 -2011 eu bike without the 2012 honda mapping watch out. Go to a test centre and check. My bike is going to honda to get the 2012 honda mapping installed. I hope i get a better mileage in combination with a Akra map. Pete2 please give advice and post your mileage please
  22. I have a Service Manual so let me know if you need help.
  23. Do you get a mil ?
