    Um

Hey, you stole my bike! Looks like good form from this angle...
  2. I have really had a blast at track days...not that I'm going to be racing anytime soon, but the personalized instruction I've gotten has really improved my skill and confidence in cornering. Speaking of paint, I just got my bike back from the painter...check it out: https://picasaweb.google.com/sicampbelldds/VFR800 Ride safe!
  3. Just curious as to how many years you have been riding? I've only got a few years under my belt and big group rides are really not a great place to work on technique IMO. It's just that the tone of your report seemed to be at least mild discontent...you might enjoy it more if you took some track instruction...if I'm barking up the wrong tree here, I profusely apologize! I just hate to see riders without a ton of experience get thrown into big group rides as their only or main riding. It's like golfing in scrambles...terrible for your game, but the social part is hard to pass up...Love your blue paint BTW

Wow, look at those shiny, unscuffed knee sliders! What a noob! :laughing6-hehe: But thanks MS...brought a smile to my face today...
  5. Same here. Also the rad reserve can be checked. I have had the fairings off so many times it takes less than 5 minutes for both sides. The oil is meant to drain on the kickstand and then I put it on the c-stand. I also warm the engine up to 150F. Where did you get a bag of 100 clips. I didn't know about draining the oil on the kickstand...damn I thought I knew everything! Just kidding of course...thanks for the tip!

Don't get the stunting thing anyway...seems like it would be much smarter to do it on a bicycle!
  7. I tried that chain cleaner and after a few uses the plastic "box" would not stay latched and closed. Now I use this product with a grunge brush (plastic bristles), and a rag with a soybean oil based cleaner and then lube with Dupont mult-purpose lubricant... My link Dupont lubricant
  8. On a similar but totally unrelated note, I replaced a 5 year old Whirlpool dishwasher today with a new Maytag model. I would swear that the two machines were produced in the same Chinese factory of basically all the same parts with the only difference being the stainless tub on the new one and the cosmetics on the doors. Talk about mass production! I bet all the manuafacture's products are produced in just a few factories.
  9. So when some numb-skull tips over your bike (I would NEVER do that to my own bike of course), the lever theoretically "folds" instead of snapping off...

Those were taken by England photography at the last Inland Speed Trackday. Go to Westside motorsports main page and there's a link along the right side.
  18. Darn it I wish I had known you would be so close to me. I live like 40 min west of Coeur d'Alene!
