Right on. Thank You Veterans for your service and commitment. And especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our nation.

Shame people die in war, in fact it's criminal. Regardless of what "side" they fight on. War is nothing more than legalised mass murder, a bunch of self righteous wankers sat in offices, miles from the front lines, sending young men to their deaths because of some stupid squabble or selfish cause.

I honestly believe the poppy should represent respect for those sent to their deaths AND be actively used to oppose all forms of conflict.

That said, the last time the wanker politicians in the ivory towers sent our boys and girls to war for idiotic reasons was in the early to mid '90's (by and large). Since then, however, without starting a discussion here about who started what and how many years we should look back to place blame, the conflicts have become a very real case of our own self defense. It is now primarily a case of us trying to defend ourselves from sociopathic barbaric zealots who want to kill every innocent person in the world who is not just like them or disputes their control and ideals in the slightest way - and in the most tortuous and outrageous ways imaginable.

There are still some politicians from the late '80's/early '90's who really ought to be on trial at The Hague.

Please, let's not continue this discussion today, but remember our vets, not the details of justification.

Cheers,

Glenn
