Just seen this new Held waistcoat that you submerge in water before wearing. :wacko:

Just curious as to whether anyone has tried one before?

Rev'it has some similar products too, I bought one that just wraps around the neck. They also have some just for the wrist too. The concept behind these two products is to cool the blood in the main arteries, which then circulates through your body helping to cool you from within. I can say that when I used the neck wrap last summer, it did a good job. I typically ride in perforated leathers and sometimes light textile suits and when combined with the neck wrap I felt really comfortable even in 100F temps.

Ha ha, Switchblade! I've had some experience with similar products while deployed in Iraq, and they do work as long as the environment isn't too humid. They need a dryer climate for the evaporative cooling effect to work most efficiently, but even in higher humidity, they are effective while moving...
