BillyZ
I have been looking at the emulators and they seem ideal. I was just wondering if anyone had swapped in more up to date forks and the difficulty of the swap.

I was just wondering if anyone had swapped in more up to date forks and the difficulty of the swap.Check out www.daughertymotorsports.com Jamie is a member here and has new fork kits for VFR750/800.I've had both of my VFRs suspension setup by him and can whole heartedly recommend him. Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted February 6, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted February 6, 2015 The problem with changing out the forks on those bikes is the length that is needed. Most more modern forks are far too short to still be able to have something left sticking out of the top triple clamp to put bars on. Emulators or a custom catridge setup is the way at to go. Maybe some 1000R forks for an upgrade to 41mm and some Gold Valves?
BillyZ
I am thinking the gold valves are my best bet.
Member Contributer Dustin Posted February 7, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted February 7, 2015 I am thinking the gold valves are my best bet.I haven't personally had any ground breaking experiences with Race Tech Gold Valves. I'd say Jamie's kits (if available for your generation) are a much better option as it's designed for the VFR specifically by someone who knows the bikes inside and out
BillyZ
I will probably chat him up and go with what he knows. Modern tyre options are another thing on the list.
Member Contributer Dustin Posted February 7, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted February 7, 2015 I have had a few old bikes with odd wheel sizes like yours and I always favoured Pirelli Sport Demons. FWIW
