Guest vfroem
Monday I finally received a small box with.... the Honda Racing Magnesium Clutch cover. The parts is a HRC part (race upgrade) for the Honda VFR750R / RC30. Very hard to get; not for sale from Honda anymore and used mostly heavily damaged. Advantages: oil level glass, and 30% lighter than the stock item. rhubarb
Don't mean to rain on your parade but considering the RCs thirst for oil, I'd be hesitant about hiding the filler cap (and the site glass) behind the fairing.
Member Contributer alwaysaware Posted December 4, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted December 4, 2008 If you have a local high school near you and are willing to loan it out for about a week, Ive got an idea for you. Way back when, a long long time ago in high school metal shop we would make aluminum die casts of various engine parts. Maybe if your sauve enough, you can talk the metal shop teacher into letting the kids duplicate it for you if you pay for the aluminum. Some kids don't have the money for projects and seeing how it is a rare part, it might be worth trying. Anyway just a thought. :fing02:
hawglet
not only is it 100% cool but with enough work it can be flammable

Guest vfroem
Thanks Folks ! Yes, the cover will be repainted, I think the new color will be purple Bought the item from a member from the RC30 yahoo forum, took almost a year before he was convinced to sell it. Cover will be fitted on my VFR'837'F (RC36-I), and yes it really fits.... Paintjob will be done first week of januari 2009. On Wednesday I will make pictures of the new brake calipper (beringer) and former NC30 wave disc. Stay tuned !
