  1. Garage clean out sale! I will ship. I am also willing to drive a couple of hours to meet you for the large items. I live in Warner Robins, GA. $300 Givi V35 Side Cases - Black - 3 keys - Left side inner case wall cracked and epoxy repaired from a low speed impact with a brick knee wall. The exterior cover has been replaced. Has been on multiple multi day wet rides and had never leaked. - Right side inner bungee strap clasp broke off. Replacement strap ordered from Givi but new design doesn’t install. I use a carabiner if I need to use the bungee straps on that side. $150 - Givi PLXR166 Rapid Release V35/V37 side case racks for 6th Gen VFR800 - All hardware included - Rapid Release tool included - Installation instructions can be downloaded from the Givi USA website $40 - Givi V35 Inner Luggage Bags - Only one shoulder strap (never used) - There is a semi rigid flap that is supposed to provide some internal rigidity to the bottom of the bags. What ever the material is inside these flaps has crumbled due to age. Still works like a normal duffel bag. $15 - Givi V35 Right Side Replacement Cover - Black - Never installed $450 - Complete Givi V35 Set Up Above - V35 Side Cases - PLXR166 Racks - Inner Luggage Bags - Right Side Replacement Cover ****SOLD**** $150 - Corbin Ovalbac Back Rest - Black Leather - Carbon Fiber appearance back plate $150 - OEM Exhaust Muffler - Removed from 2003 6th Gen - Fairly Clean, some burned on chain oil splatter on the lower left side. Could probably be polished off.
  2. Hi first post here and im sorry that its a needy one, but Im a proud 6thGen VFR owner from San Francisco in need of OEM mounting hardware if anybody here or if anybody you know is trying to sell please direct them to me. Thanks everyone for your time!
  3. Hey everyone, I ride a 1998 VFR800FI, the stock red color currently. Before I bought it, the bike was totaled and then repaired so it is an R title bike. I’m not sure exactly what happened when it was totaled, but my guess is that it was laid on its side. The fairing in the front/side that houses the turn signals is cracked right beside the signals. Where the two fairings underneath the bike connect is also damaged slightly. I’d like to replace at least one fairing, maybe even both. I do plan to repaint the bike in the future (a separate discussion on which paint job to go with if you’re interested in participating). Does anyone know the best place to purchase a fairing? I’m willing to buy directly from Honda for more expense, but if anyone knows of another option then any help would be much appreciated!
  4. I am looking to purchase the side racks for the OEM hard luggage cases. Have the hard bags already but lost the racks. If you have them or know where to get them please let me know. It’s an ‘06 w/o ABS. Thanks
  5. Hi all. I have non-standard grips which are too thin for my liking. Previously had oxford hotgrips which were nice and thick. Now have some oxford sports grips. I just need to know the outside diameter of the stock VFR grips, please.
  6. Hey guys, new VFR owner. I just browsed the last 2 years or so of posts in these forums and didn't see anything recent regarding replacement windscreen options for the 90-93 models. I've read the Zero Gravity double bubble is popular but I'm not a fan of the look. I'm really looking for the closest to OEM replacement out there (in terms of shape and thickness/durability). I've read MRA? Anyone suggestions on brands and where they can be ordered would be much appreciated. Photos are great, too :)
  7. I've forgotten what combination of hardware is used (and in what order) on the grab handle mounts to fit the OEM topcase and sidecase racks. I wanna say it involves the shorter spacers and longer bolts. The links for the OEM instructions in the downloads section seems to be dead. Anyone have a copy of the hard bag and top case instructions? or maybe a cheat sheet of the stack order for different rack configurations? Thanks! http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/files/file/81-hard-bag-bracket-installation/http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/files/file/75-top-case-installation/
  8. tl;dr - want hard luggage on, no grab handles. How do? First post ever. Short and sweet. I got a 2006 last year and it's been treating me very well. I got some OEM hard luggage from David Silver Spares (which is great by the way). But while reading the instructions, I noticed that the installation actually requires the passenger grab handles. Mine didn't come with them. Apparently they're also very difficult to find although I haven't trolled through this site too thoroughly yet. My local Honda dealer can get them for me, maybe, for a cool $275…so the question is: has anyone attached the luggage racks without the grab handles?
  9. Hey all, Had a horrible summer... bike was on the fritz non-stop. burned battery, ignition cylinder out of commission etc.. due to lack of time had to get the bike into the shop and they got it running.. then it burned another batery and stranded me at canadian-american border. misery. i even thought of selling it... (horrible). well, yesterday i went into the bike and was looking over it, and noticed that one of my spark plug wires has been nicked and the casing is damaged. i turned the bike on, ran my hand near the damaged wire and got a hell of a shock. it all made sense all at once! all the electrical gremlin-ness was probably coming from this wire intermittently shorting. my question here is, what is a good replacement for these? OEM? or is there a better option? Also, while i'm at it, should i just replace all the spark plug wires, all the spark plug boots, and the ignition coils? they're most likely original and 22 yrs old (!) any suggestions are appreciated! here's a little shot of it just for the hell of it! BIG upgrade in the Corbin, courtesy of Rob from Riverside - thank you sir! cheers.
  10. Gents, my OEM luggage is just sitting off the bike since I purchased it about 6 weeks ago. 2002 bike, not sure what year the luggage is, RED, with mounting hardware. I'm gonna list it in the classifieds, but I really have no clue what to ask. One case is an 8/10 and looks great, the other has a few surface blemishes and some light damage commensurate with age of bike. It's worth noting the bike had under 9000 miles on when I bought it, and I took the cases off immediately. I have a bunch of pics I'll post in the classifieds of course, but I know these things were out of bounds expensive when new. What's the going rate these days... Here's just a few basic pics. I just gave them a Optimum No Rinse wash, fresh clay bar treatment, Optimum Opti Clean, then Sonax Perfect finish AIO. Got much of the surface issues taken care of, but one box needs more polishing and it does have some light damage, as I mentioned. Anyway, looking for thoughts on real pricing, I'm not trying to rip anyone off, but would like fair market value of course. Thanks in advance...
  11. Hi, Can someone post a photo of Hondas OEM Top Box lock bracket (2002-2004 version) in a way I could see how spring fits into metal plate (center of the photo below)
  12. Anyone find a good solution for a replacement horn for the oem? Honked at a dumbass today and nearly embarrassed myself with that "beep." Post em up!
  13. Any of you with the OEM blue topcase happen to have a receipt or install sheet with the honda part number on it? I can't track it down thru my dealer, or the UK. Thought if I had a number it might help.

  15. Hey guys, So I just picked up an OEM top case for my bike and would like to add the backrest to it but I am having trouble finding it online. Any ideas of where I can pick one up?
  16. Hey guys, So i just bought an OEM top box for my 6th gen. I read on here something about different sized spacers for running the top box with or without the side luggage. The guy I bought it from didnt have any of the spacers so I used the ones from my passenger handles which seemed to work fine. My question is, Where can I get the correct spacers if I want to run the top box with my side bags? or if anyone could tell me the length of them so I can just get something similar at the hardware store. Thanks!
  17. How 's your comments and recommendation for the idea:modify the Graves exhaust for YamahaR1 to fit on VFR800 6th Gen. I am thinking of Stainless steel Graves exhaust. This brand seems quite famous for racing bikes, especially for Yamaha bikes. The exhaust looks nice as well.
