  1. Planning to remove the fork and drop off at Honda for servicing. Any tips for removal/install? Any other maintenance opportunities with the fork removed? Thanks!
  2. IIRC, the 6th gen calipers were revised around 2005, which could account for the incompatibility.
  3. Not sure if you already know about the OEM top rack (P/N 08L42MCW800), but it is compatible with the OEM side cases.
  4. Should be under the left rear header, IIRC.
  5. I think the P/Ns you’re looking for are 08L41-MCW-80012 and 08L41-MCW-80013. Unfortunately I’m not seeing any in stock online 😕
  6. Thanks for documenting this project! Honda's black finish on these steel parts is sorta disappointing. Seems to be the same finish used on the rear subframe and upper cowl stay on the 6th gen.
  7. As others have mentioned, there are so many great National Parks out west. Zion, Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Canyon, and Redwoods can't be missed. Just to add a few places I haven't seen mentioned yet: Crater Lake National Park Pacific Coast Highway Joshua Tree National Park Kings Canyon National Park

  10. I think you are right, Nick. For whatever reason, I must have assumed the bulb/socket assembly was all one piece. Now I wonder if I can swap high beam bulbs without removing the upper cowl...
  11. After swapping the main beam H4s for a slightly whiter color temp (3700K), I went to swap the high beam H7s and I ran into a problem...the high beam sockets are not a standard H7 connector. After everything I read about VFR bulbs, I was expecting the H4s to be non-standard, but the H7s would be a direct fit. Not so on my '08. [edited to redact my disinformation about H7 bulbs ]
