Been on the summit of that one. Up ahead (at Bridge of Orchy, there is a nice saddle at Beinn Dorain) that gets you on the ridge. Go left and you see the expanse of Rannoch Mor, do right and you get to this one n the picture

  10. The colored washers I found on http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6256608014.html the m3 black washers at hobbyking.com the SS 18mm flat washers M3 and M6 torx at a Dutch oline retailer that sells per piece https://www.rvspaleis.nl/ No doubt a US-based shop will have them too!
  11. That is what I ended up with (got red ones as well) since the black washers looked a bit mheh.... Got rid of the M3 washers for the outer ring as well; got some smaller, black M3 countersunk washers. Kept the SS rings between top of spring and blue washers Ready to go all the way in! The bolts that affix the entite cover to the engine were a bit poor; one hole actually a bit worn so I needed a longer bolt anyway. Got some SS ones, put some anti-seize on for good measure small video clip http://vid113.photobucket.com/albums/n206/Dutchy_748/VIDEO0012_zpsxznsno71.mp4

I will refrain from any "stand by" Tammy jokes and say this is a very nice picture!
  13. Yes, no change in bodywork
  14. No I am not saying that I assumed (the mother of all fuck ups I know) that what was posted earleir: "Washer OD is ~16.67-16.7mm. OEM bolts on a '99 5th gen." would apply to my 4th gen (1997 VFR750). But that was wrong.... But how wrong I will find out cos the 18mm washers are on now and I am riding my bike tomorrow If I see anything going pear shaped I will post up and fit a 19mm SS washer underneath.
  15. Good that you asked..... cos with the oem bolts out I could measure the washer... 18.7mm (and not the <17mm reported but that may be not those on a 4th gen) so.................... I *could have* bought the blue 19mmPro-bolts... I was cautious for nothing... :-( the black ones I bought are as specified, 18mm and I put an 18mm SS washer underneath
  16. fixed that for you Well, mine turned out a bit so-so therefor looking forward to your stunner... !!!
  17. My thoughts too!!! There's a NR replica being built in Denmark There's a NR replica being built in Sweden And now a Turbo RC45 in Sweden!!!
  18. The only -dark- blue countersunk washers I found are Pro-Bolt and they are 19mm diameter. As I wrote above, the OEM washers are <17mm and the holes in the pressure plate are 21mm. My black ones are 18mm; but the blue from that Mfrs are a light blue. Light as the bolts I had put on previously (and I donot like cos the blue is too light). As you can see, I do not have anything else to worry about in my life....
  19. Operation "Countersunk" Mwah..... The M3 torx with countersunk washers along the rim are a bit too large versus the size of the window frame methink..... I will probably go back to the M3's that Seb put in As for the spring bolts+washer, the dark blue Pro-Bolts were a larger diameter so I decided against them, went for black instead. with SS torx counter sunk... Am a bit underwhelmed.... so will keep an eye out for different washers... Put in new stronger springs in "on the house" Lever pull marginally stronger but I like the feel when accellerating
  20. Yeah those loooong Scandinavian winters must make for looooooooooooooong hours in the garage...... Welcome to VFRD!
