  1. Hah, I got the Vfrness in two weeks ago. That would would mean I got the couch removed from the rear before you did, very nice work by the way, very pleased with the constant voltage.
  2. A big thumbs up :fing02:
  3. Just wanted to let people know that I am sold out of slider kits . My short riding season is about to start and I told myself that riding was going to be a priority this year, so it's going to be a few months before kits will be availible again, I will be making more. Cheers Darren
  4. Very nice write-up, looks like you did a very thorough job, thanks for taking the time for the how-to

  10. Would you by chance have links to these importers
  11. I'd love to see a photo shopped pic of a 5th gen in this years new dark red, if someone had the time and know how it would be appreciated.
  12. I guess I should have mentioned that, $360 US plus shipping and handleing, from one of our best parts suppliers, who just lost his job, JoeW. Boy did his boss ever F-up! Wow, for pads and rotors? Not bad at all!! That would have been nice, but no, rotors only, I already had the pads .

  14. A few weeks ago I found myself in the position of having to replace my rotors, the past owner of my bike fried the factory rotors past repair, I attempted to machine them out, but they had been cooked enough that the density of rotor actually varied from one side to the other with a couple hard spots, so a clean cut was not possible, so in otherwords I fubared them. I looked at both factory and aftermarket, galfers looked great, but were just to pricey, new factory were basically the same price as the EBC contours, so what the hell, try something new, EBC contours and double h pads it is. I have done the recommended 300km in town break in, with an added 500km trip yesterday, first impressions, WOW, so this is what the brakes are supposed to feel like, from the time that I purchased my bike last fall, I have never felt very comfortable with the brakes, I could never scrub off any corner speed without feeling like I was going to loose the front end, now braking is just so smooooth, with little effort to get quick stops. I felt that my riding experiece was limited enough that I should get a second opinion on the rotors, so I traded bikes with Terrol 145 whom has a fair amount of bike racing experience (as well rides the same bike, in one of those slower yeller colors). His impressions were the same, much better braking than his own bike, after riding his bike I felt the same way, my bike had the better braking, even though my front end needs new springs and valves. So if anyone was looking for new rotors, I'd suggest that you give these a good look, as they do look pretty good as well, if I don't say so myself. If there is interest, I will update in a couple months, just to let you know if the first impressions stick.

  18. A big your welcome, very glad to here you are happy, now hurry up an post a pic, better yet take a picture that shows where you are from with you and your bike and send it to me, I'd like to start a scrap book of everywhere these things go.
  19. Okay nobody but you has been willing to try the red arbors, now I know that It was a good idea to make them, cause those do look good if I don't say so myself.
  20. Got mine today via Canaduh Snail Mail.... AWESOME PACKING JOB, RADAR!!! Very high quality, just a few questions...... what are the three bigger flat washers for? Also, for what it's worth, A brief instruction sheet might have answered this  , and although I went to the start to follow KKens' instructions, I couldn't find the washer locations anywhere. Any ideas KK?/Radar? I think those drilling spacers are gonna make this SCREWPROOF! :salesman: I'll report on the progress and if you don't hear from me, I will probably be somewhere JUMPING OFF A CLIFF, CUZ I DID SCREW IT  The washers are spacers to go into the sliders before threading onto the arbors should you require them, everyones fairings are a little different and I just wanted to make it convienant for everyone to make adjustments. I thought Kens how to was pretty good, but I guess I should make up a good set of instuctions to go with the kit, I will put it on the to do list for when I catch up. Also to anybody that has purchased my Kit, you are welcome to phone me at work, the number is on the package that I sent you, don't be scared to ask questions.
  21. First sorry for not answering this sooner, haven't checked this thread for awhile, so to answer your question, no they have not been tested with a laydown, all I can tell you is that alot of thought has gone into producing these with the best materials that I had avialable, from 6061 alum. arbors to 18-8 ss bolts and delrin sliders. The chances of having these snap off are slim to non, there has been some redundancy built into them in that if to large of side impact is exerted that they will bend (for example laying down bike then hitting sliders into curb) this is there to try to prevent cracking the frame.
  22. Cool, thanks Ken, that should make it easier for all the people that had sliders shipped out today
  23. Very nice, thats going to look great once you are done
  24. After I have taken care of those waiting for 5th and 6th gen, (started a batch of 50 sets today), then I will give the 3rd and 4th gen a go, first impression is they will have to be a completely different design but I am willing to try.
