it's a highway that runs across the state of idaho.

lots of long sweeping curves the whole way, then the end has a few miles of tight switchbacks.

not much to see along the way except a riverbed, but a great riding road.

good pic, paul!

Everyone except for me, where is this road located exactly? Would love to get to know it alittle :goofy: Nice shot!!

Thanks Mike

Yeah it's called Lolo pass, Hwy12 it starts just south of Missoula Montana and winds it way over the Idaho border, if you continue on for maybe an hour you end up in Lewiston/Clarkston right on the Idaho/Washington border. Lots of great roads in the area. This was taken on my way back from San Fransisco a couple of summers ago, liked it so much I grabbed a few of my riding buddies and we headed back down there for a weekend last summer.

I've only seen it in pictures. I would love to get there for real sometime.

Try to avoid visiting it when it's 40 degrees and raining at the sign, because by the time you get to the top of the pass, it'll be snowing.

:goofy:

Fortunately Missoula has motels with hot tubs. And clothes dryers. Mmmmm, clothes dryers.

Greg, I'd be oh-so-happy to take you there. It runs across Idaho, Lolo Pass. I'll show you on the map.

L O N G sweepers for 77 miles, quite pretty. But don't go passing a truck with a white canopy that says, "SHERIFF" on the back. No really, it's not the name of canopy, right Q-Dawg?

Hmm, that looks familiar to me. Seems to me that's where I got the speed tax collected from what APPEARED to be just another black truck with camper shell on the back. I had a "case of stupid" that day :laughing6-hehe:

I did this back in '06 on the way fr ATL-Boulder, CO-Seattle...took buying my ole '98 n Boulder to make it there.

(The Vtec went caput n Memphis & I had to leave it n Mississippi-Drove to CO in a Grand Am I believe-Oooo!)

When I saw a sign similar to that, I had the typical, opposite of everyone else, motorcycle reaction, (OH YEAH!) That was, until some fella at a very antiquated gas stn, store & lodging plc, told me to watch out for the killer deer @dusk.

Gotta go back & do that again someday soon, in DAYLITE!

Yeehaw!!!
