Good read. At least we can limp some where on a flat rear.

Liked Supercamp so much, I made my own S'camp CRF100 replica.
(FWIW: Supercamp puts a Dunlop 739 on the front, Dunlop GT501f Arrowmax with added handcut grooving in back .)
I'm also curious where to ride Soichiro; I work not too far away from Concord.
...but I don't know anybody in NC :(
I am actually lucky and can ride the 100 at my house. I had a big road course type track at my old house which was a blast. I would ride it 4-5 times a week. I now have a new house but still have a place to ride a small bike. I actually have a little supermoto course. Dirt, grass and pavement. The little hondas are the most bullet proof bikes on the planet. They should be the bikes havent changed much in 20 years.
Check out www.ncdirtrider.com There is a list of all tracks and riding areas.

Sweet. I am on my second xr (crf) 100 and they are without a doubt the best training tool there is. I can have way too much fun on that little bike.

Man! That is a beautiful area. When are we going to have the "Colorado Rally?"
Kevin
Seriously? I doubt I could stich together 12 guys for a "homecoming" - well Colorado is home to me! If it was up to me it would be more like a moving caravan, stay one night in Montrose, the Next in Durango. Perhaps its better to base out of a centeral Location such as Gunnison, or Salida? Destinations like the Million Dollar Highway, Monarch Pass, Black Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park? You basically cant go wrong anywhere in the mountains.
Very nice, man what a beautiful state. I feel like a seasoned traveler. When my wife and I visited colorado we went to all the places you listed except salida.

I thought the super flaf was a great idea.

You did the right thing. What if you were trying to pick it up and the owner walks up, asking what did you do. What happened to the bike to be laying on it's side?

XR's are bullet proof. I have had a few and the could not be killed. My buddy blew up his xr600 on a 300 mile trip that included interstate. It didnt like the continuous high rev's and let go, I guess. I cant believe your having all these problems with it. Of course all other xr's are air colled.
Busted!
