  1. hey my DMR spring was blue! #rippedoff
  2. +1... looks like Kawi components, could be ZX-14 with ZX-10 rim... can't tell if they are 4 or 6 piston calipers '08 Hayabusa with a K6 gsxr 750 fender ;) 4 pot Tokico's. trying to figure out what to do with the oil cooler - it kisses the front guard under heavy braking - suggesitons?
  3. duccmann, each to their own.I personally like the look of USD forks, and wanted them on my bike. Is/has it been economic? Hell no, but I think it'll be worth it in the end.
  4. OK, holy crap, it's almost been a month. We have the bearing! Front end is knocked together with the 'Busa triples. I bought Helibars because I thought I might need a bit more clearance, and I was right. In all honesty I need a tiny bit more clearance than the helis give (another 1/2 inch up and back to be comfortable) as currently at full left lock the throttle cables are pressing against the infill panel. Stupid me bought a front guard for what appears to be an 07 busa, and not 08 as I needed... so it doesn'f it. However I'm chasing down a guard from an 04-05 GSXR 600/750/1k which bolts straight up to the gen 2 forks.
  5. just get a 65 degree V4 from an RSV4 ;)
  6. Ok, bit of progress so far. The front end is pulled down, and are awaiting a bearing. Need a 47x30×16 is the size we need but can only find 47x30x12. I remember someone on here shimmed theirs up with a circlip (for the life of me I can't remember whom) so that's the path we're undertaking now. The bottom ebaring is exactly the same as the VFR's so that's all good. Will update when the bering comes in and we can get down to the nitty gritty.
  7. After 6 months of gathering parts, then weighing up wether to even go ahead with the swap or not, I've finally bit the bullet and dropped my steed off at the mechanics for the conversion. More to come as it happens.
  8. I'm running APE's on mine currently. Use the screwdriver against the engine method, If you can hear a rattle, nip it up a tad. if it sounds like a 5th gen, back it off.
  9. Delkevic is actually a UK company, not an American one. Perhaps shooting an email through to their UK branch would yeild a more favourable result, though it may be more expensive.
  10. Ah, I didn't flip through all 91 pages of this thread. Who knows if they branch into Ti they might be interested in doing a run if the concrete demand is there with cash in hand... And if their fit and finish has improved a bit.
  11. Hey guys, I follow Delkevic on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Delkevic) and they've announced they're starting work on Ti systems, although they haven't specified which models they're going to make. Perhaps put the question to them? (edited to include more detail)
  12. HEL will also custom make lines to suit aswell for no extra charge I believe.
  13. If you wanna get a better video of the noise drop to first, hit killswitch, and VERY GENTLY slip the clutch. It'll be come noticeably louder, and it's a perfectly normal noise.
  14. Holy crap... I'm envious of your time and skills.
  15. Getting my fork seals done next week (they both blew at the same time... damn deep pothole and undersprung front) and I was figuring to get hte rear shock done at the same time as the seals. if it's only an extra like 2 hours then happy days.
  16. hey Guys, on average how long did it take you to remove rear shock and replace with the DMR unit? I have one sitting next to me in it's box and need to figure out when to do it (wether I can do it on my isngle day off or wait for say, 2 days or so)
  17. cbr600 forks from that year I believe are 43mm.
  18. Roy, unsure wether this will be accurate as the forks and stuff are not yet installed but I measured fromt he centre of the axle to where the bottom bearing will sit on the stem and got just over 510mm, taking into account the dodgy old measuring tape I was using. I have a fair bit of my forks through the triple clamp at the moment *measured from the actual top of the triple to the adjuster on the fork* and measured 60mm, so I think you will be right about the bars on this triple.
  19. The handlebar mount is part of the top plate of the triple clamp. So I was hoping to get a set of Heli risers that lift them up higher and pull them back a bit aswell. Unfortunately as this bike is my daily I can't pull it down to see exactly how much clearance I'll need, or wether Helibars even offer the amount that will be needed.
  20. Update. Top triple (both parts, very stupid design by Suzuki) calipers, lines, front master cylinder and brake discs arrived a couple of days ago. Just took the top triple out to my fully intact bike and kind of lined it up where it needs to go. First thought is 'hmm these bars are going to be a problem'. The Hayabusa triple clamp is a 2 piece dealy, the "bottom" of the clamp is the actual triple, and rather ugly. The "top" piece is just really a cover plate into which the handlebars slide. The bars are in a fixed position, so if they foul on the fairing (which I am starting to suspect they will) I may have to order a set of risers to pull them back a bit. My Mechanic picked up a front guard for me with all the mounting hardware for $100, but I might ask him nicely to sell it off, as a front guard from the '03 GSXR1000 will bolt straight up with no modifications. Now all I need to do is get the wheel and steering bearings, and some other odds and end and it'll be time to see if my madness will actually fit!
  21. it's either fuel or air then. double check everything you've done. note now you have a full system with cat delete and air filter it's gonna be running off optimum
  22. what sort of filter did you get? If it's a K&N did you remove the gasket from the OEM airbox? otherwise it doesnt seal properly
  23. you got the flanges seated properly in the head? did you do a leak test before dressing the bike up again? start the bike and run your hand around every join in the pipe (from heads to collector to midpipe0 see if you can feel any warm air coming form the joins. If your airbox seated properly?
  24. I'm hoping against hope it'll all work out. lot of money wasted if not haha.
