  1. Buddy...heard about your crash earlier this afternoon - sending you all the best for your recovery.  If you need any help please don’t hesitate - and I mean it. Happy to help your family, stop by to shoot the shit or bring you stuff you might need.

Take care my friend.  Get well!

  2. It looks like this article on intalling 49-state cams / ecu on a CALI bike was obsoleted... is there any hope of a resurrection? Also, would it make more sense to install the Tyga headers on a CALI 98 or call dibs on a set up used delkevics sure to flood the market (i.e. is the CALI version too crippled to make use of true racing headers).
  3. That (Fri Sep 09, 5am?) would give us plenty of time to enjoy some scenery. If you want to switch it up a little around Paso Robles, I recall a Chimney Rock / Peachy Canyon loop.
  4. Having a PBR on Prewitt Ridge at sunset has been on my bucket list for a couple of years. NF west side does require caution re debris but my favorite part is the run from Hunter Liggett to the base of the east side. There is also a Peachy Canyon / Chimney Rock loop within striking distance near Paso Robles. DMR front suspension does seem to cure the floppy sensation I used to get in tight slow hair pins
  5. In some more .... for the Sep 12,13 extension to prewitt ridge via Hiway 25, Carmel Valley.
  6. Hmm...domestic slaves are obligated to not get bored or be boring so giving up the bike may interfere with your duties. It's hard to put out quality stuff when you're missing key things that make you whole. Best wishes for a smooth bounce back.
  7. There is a nice Mines Road section in "Rolling Thunder Hits Silicon Valley" thread. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zMft-Gviqssc.kBryBZk9cGuU It runs from 580 / Livermore to San Jose ...probably similar to the SC Polomar route. It has a nice segway via San Filipe/Metcalf to Baily/McKean/Hecker Pass (and interesting shortcuts like Mt Madona/Hazel Del). From which there is another segway via Highway 25 to Prewitt Ridge mentioned in a forever stalled Bay Aria/Central Coast thread https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zqVkZQDS4i8o.kF7e5CvbEaxs Ideally, we could plug into Brian's Sep 9/10 and extend through Sep 11 and 12!
  8. In. Sort of a sidebar but if Mike treated this as his day 3 and 4, it would fit nice with his day 5 and 6.
  9. Looks good. I'd probably drop off after day 6 rather than head further south again but please pencil me in. No need to change anything but since you asked for input there's some gems within range of Nacimiento-Fergusson camping you may find interesting (Chimney Rock, Peachy Canyon)...a Google search on "SBR Spring Fling" will yield a detailed narrative.
  10. I had an intermittent problem for a long time that progressively got worse to the point that any big bump in the road would make the engine miss and some times cut out. I was able to trace it by jiggling the wires coming out of the ECU 1 at a time with the engine running. Turned out 1 of them had a pin prick nick in the insulation and over time a break had developed. I had to solder it, which was awful given my non skills and tiny wire diameter but it's been rock solid for a couple of years now.
  11. An annual Death Valley area camping tour might be a nice tradition to start.
  12. It sold last week for $20K http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-honda-n600/ It is a true sleeper, the autocross clip verbiage indicated it narrowly lost to an old school shelby cobra by 1/10 second.
  13. Same place as last time?
  14. Home safe and sound (571 miles). Thanks for clearing the flack Troy and George! Very fun ride. Nice to meet you Jim...go sharks.
  15. 8 Good advice for us all, thanks Troy...see you at 8.
