Is this the park with the 13 mile one way drive? -
My guess on the location would be far SW corner, near Noel, on Hwy 90, but that's just a guess on my part. I made several attempts to ride some of those routes several years ago, always in the springtime and we always got thwarted by thunderstorms. Had to back off. Made it to Southwest City on one occasion but had to abort. Just getting there was fun though! -
This looks a lot like the 91 my son was working on at Honda of Tulsa a few weeks ago. And that road reminds me of Kenwood Road. Where you from, Telepops? -

On my trip out there in 06 we stopped at that same rest area at Blue Mesa. I thought the name of that lake was Blue Mesa Reservoir? No matter. It is an awesome spot. While we were checking out the chipmunks (my son had never seen one before) a WWII B17 did a flyby. Got that on my cam corder. Are there any bad roads in Colorado? Thanks for sharing Slammer! I have seen 109 degrees on the VFR temp display the last two days! Slightly cooler than the engine temp! -
This reinforces my argument that the Y2K model, as well as being the fastest, is also the best looking VFR! Very nice, Primo! -
Ok, here's my offer. An 86 VFR700 with lots of extras. Beasley fiberglass, two seats, four mirrors and a brand new windscreen. Carbs have just been rebuilt but it does not run. Well, you said something about another project. Might as well kill two birds with one stone! That bike looks fantastic. You should ride it for a while. -

I have an 86 700 that I had planned on doing this conversion to but have too many bikes to get involved further, so I have a complete F3 frontend, wheels, front and rear, front brake master cylinder and caliper. If you decide to try this conversion make me an offer. The 700 engine has some issues but so I will probably part it out. I also have some Beasley fiberglass front and lower fairings.Ernie

Mailman and Dude, Thanks for the nice comments. This was one of my favorite shots from the trip. Mailman, My son was hauling the saddlebags on the other VFR and if you look real close you can just make out the Nelson-Rigg expandable in front of my trunk. But, what a great road and generally a great area to ride! Colorado gets the credit here! Ernie -

I hope you appreciate how lucky you are to live so close to such a beautiful area, Miguel! Dang..I mean DANG! Great pictures. Are all the native Coloradans so well versed in the topography or are you the exception? I am always amazed at how you seem to know the name of every significant feature of the landscape.
