I don't like the red on the new VFR-it may look much better in person-- but I do love the white!!! Very, very nice pic according to me.
  3. Looks great! I like it. Well done HS!! Wanna do mine???

Nice bike! What is it? A BMW F800? :goofy: Just kidding. Looks great. C
  6. I say start by planning the next trip: book some hotels, plan for ferries, gas money, some maintenance money (oil, air filters, tires, etc.), food, gear (GEAR!!), and some interesting sight seeing on your way (museums, campgrounds, various attractions, beer for other VFRD members along the way?!!?). After you've puting some good mileage on it, then you may wanna modify things. Just ride the sh*t out of it until you find something you just can't live with (handle bars, seat, looks?, whatever). BTW, congrats on your new purchase!! Hope you find it to your liking. Just my 2cents... Christian

Aha! There is the Flaf that everyone is looking for!!! Now if I only knew where Clagary was... :fing02: :goofy:
  8. Holy cow (polite version!)!!! Well, this thread is making me appreciate getting a full set of hard cases (3), even if they (top box) may look silly sometimes. Wow. Well, at least, they secure your load and make you more visible (top box anyway). Sorry about your wallet man, I hope a good soul brings it back to you. You are doing better than I would be if you're not too troubled by everything you'll have to do if you need to renew all your cards and all. I must work on being more zen. Or realign my chi or something... Cheers, C
  9. Not sure what happened to the pictures Lobster posted, they were (are?) hosted separately from VFRD. I can't see most pictures from work so I can't tell what the issue might be. The pictures shown are of a less refined model that was used for initial fit, I haven't had the opportunity to install one myself on a 2000-2001 model, but the 98-99 model would be very similar. Yeah, I was just killing time, hoping to find something that would give me an idea of what to do when I get your harness (ordered to you and sent by you a few days ago according to usps notice-thanks btw). Your instructions should be fairly dumb-proof anyway, right? Cheers, C
  10. Am I the only one who can't see the pics in this thread? c
  11. Nice! I like the white one!! Definitely growing on me. Funny how that works... :fing02:
  12. Ouch! Yeah, I'd say a costly haircut! One days parking will be easier for bikes, and the environment will be cleaner. C

    led mirrors

where do you get them from and how much I have a set (still uninstalled, winter project) that I paid $65 for +shipping on Ebay. They're called GZXR mirrors if I recall correctly. A tad more than stock, but not much and much better visibility. C
  14. Nice pic! I like how hte white on the train ties in with the white VFR. C
  15. Modern sculpture!! Pure art. Beautiful!!
  16. One more comment... I bet THEIR surgery was just as painful as yours... Have you seen them bumpers?!?
  17. Well, there's ONE thing that's not broken and that works perfectly well... hehehehe...    c
  18. They were $510 shipped. Do you realize how many wine bottles that represents?!?!? :fing02:  nice set though...
  19. Great pic! But, who's taking it?!? A bear??? :excl: Just back up a little Seb, a little more, yup, almost, just a tad more... :excl: cheers, :excl: c

  21. Cool looking mountain! Nice and square, eh? . . . . . . . . . oh, look! A bike?!?  Looks great, as always. cheers man!
  22. You are the reason for the fix! "YOU'RE ON FIRE!" "Oh, thanks man." "NO, YOU'RE ON FUCKING FIRE!" Hahahah. :fing02: :goofy: F***! That is funny. Ok, I'm not sober right now, but it it still quite funny, ain't it? ppm
  23. Great pics Miguel! Really, it gives us an idea of how much fun and breathtaking your trip back was. One day I'll travel through such scenic territory. Always wanted to see the western US. One thing though, not a correction, just a suggestion: Banif=Banff. I like your comparison with the distant cousins. It is true. But don't mistake the people in the Kootenays or even in Nelson for your regular Canadian Joe, cause here in Vancouver, we can be a lot more stressed out... ppm
  24. I'm all for it. In principle anyway. But it sure was great fun. I'M still thinking about Mike's suggestion to bring a friend and, maybe as Westernstar suggested, with a camera so we can have more pics. c
