  1. Hi, I put together a poster that I want to mount in my home office. Thanks to Terry for posting the PDFs so I was able to assemble it using the PDFs he uploaded. I will attach it for anyone who wants to do the same. Print it out and have it mounted etc. Thxs VFR Poster.pdf

  2. I'm not trying to rain on VFR80025th's parade, but since we're talking printing off VFR history stuff this seemed a good place. I'm not sure how many visit the other site, but a while ago I posted a vectorized version of the 5th gen engine cutaway illustration from the Honda service manual. Vector files are great because they can be scaled to any size without loss in quality, something normal raster images can't do. I later followed this by colorizing the cam gear train. The attached .zip files will be the vector file and high resolution images for the cam gear train so don't bother with the low quality images inserted into this post. vfr - black - red.zip vfr - white -red.zip VectorFR.zip

  3. Started to think what bikes have I owned the last 10-12 years? Let's see..... Well this 5th gen I had for some 4-5 years Had this 1984 RG250W that I did hit a deer whit Had this 86 VF500F2 that I imported from Dutch ground whit help of Dutchy! 3 bikes, from right 89 XT600Z Tenere (had 2, other sold in parts), 86 VFR750F and 85 CBX750F ( that I never road actually, lost interest and sold it) 1991 VFR750F, did like it a lot but the engine had a nocking sound on idle like a con rod bearing so did go further 2006 Husky WR250, fun but still have scars from it....had yellow as blue plastic as buoght but changed to more patriotic for me white instead of yellow. 2005 KTM250 rfs as 86 Yamaha IT200S, the later buoght as parts in boxes, later sold as needed money after divorce, bummer as it was nice! ...the KTM was only for a while in my own, buoght to son as he just wanted a 4stroke, oh well here the money shoot of it Next bike was in house for quite some years Was my former wife's bike but in my name, fun bike, 87 GSX550ES that's made naked bike. Had plans to put modern wheels from a GS500 on it but never happened.... 2010 BMW 1200gs, fun as comfortable but top heavy only had it for a year 2010 SuperTenere 1200, only thing I didn't like was the limited (big time) ground clearance! 2009 XT125X, buoght from a friend as project for son but he never got the license so as it was ready traded it for bike in next picture 90 CBR1000F, most comfortable seat I ever had on a motorcycle! Did fall in trailer during transport as I moved and frame got a dent, did sell it in parts, still have fork and front brake as some bolts around. 84 FJ1100, buoght as project but needed to much so sold as parts 1990 TZR125 I found cheap, but co worker wanted it badly for son so sold it to him whit out even riding it myself The spare parts Tenere 600 84 KTM125, actually became a runner! Traded for a 2001 Honda CR125 for son. That he didn't like so traded for 2steel framed 125 CR, one 97 that was good running and a 95 spare bike The spare bike was sold to one looking for a 95, as he had one as young, he restored it to like new! Pic of it below A 1996 cr250r, sold to buy 250 KTM rfs for son, bummer I sold it.... -89 FZR600, never rode it, needed money after divorce -2005 V-Strom 650, did trade the SuperTenere for 2 bikes, the V-STROM was other, the 95 Africa Twin in first post that both had to be sold because of divorce and money need... -81 PE175 Suzuki, buoght as project, carb shoot and 2nd gear popped out, just test ridden and traded to a other -88 Suzuki TS250X, a bike you just can't get parts for anymore, made a runner and traded whit PE for a other bike (dirt bike) -81 Yamaha IT465. Lovely but hard to start. Sold on. Then the bikes I have already mentioned in this topic at som point.....might be I forgotten a few also! I did, 1971 Yamaha DT125 buoght cheap and sold on as one offered a nice money for it!

  4. I really think that's a good plan. You will never have to worry about the cooling o-rings again and you will know for sure the carbs are good. Then you can confidently move on to other things if you still have some symptoms. About 1% of "the guy"s out there can do a proper carb clean and setup on a V4, but you never know. Also, I have part numbers for the all the cooling system o-rings in FKM/Viton from a vendor I have used over a dozen times at pennies on the dollar if you want. Also for the carbs.
