streetfightervfr
Hi, I've got a 2000 model 5th gen Australian VFR800 all of the wiring diagrams i have been able to find don't show the bank angle sensor on them :/ Has anyone come across this problem before? Cheers Ian
Member Contributer VFROZ Posted January 14, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted January 14, 2018 Try this. It's called the tip sensor.
streetfightervfr
Here is a photo of the plug that went into the bank angle sensor :) The main reason I am wanting the exact wiring diagram is i am about to heavily modify the location of a lot of things and remove a lot of unnecessary wiring as i have a new speedo (daytona asura) I did look at the 2002 Australian model u and it had the bank angle sensor with the right coloured wires but it was still not right beyond that :/
Member Contributer Terry Posted January 15, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted January 15, 2018 The pages below are from the 5G service manual.
Member Contributer Terry Posted January 15, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted January 15, 2018 I think in the wiring diagram it is referred to as the Engine Stop Sensor. The TP sensor is the throttle position sensor I think.

Pretty sure I answered this on FB the other day? Now that you've found this site, stick around. It's infinitely more useful than facebook. You can download thw factory (best!) manual here and you'll need it if you're going to do a proper job on that harness tuck. I'm in the middle of doing one myself right now:

Couple of questions... What tail piece is that and how did you mount the sub frame? That battery is tiny... What sort is it and do you have any issues with it cranking? keef
I've got an antigravity like sebs, and bought in Sydney. It started mine first crank, even though it had no petrol tank for about 6 months. My bank angle sensor is now tucked in next to the battery.

On the back angle sensor, you can get rid of it all together if you bridge to outside two wires ? Picked up that trick from a stunters forum
