Member Contributer thereisnospoon Posted March 25, 2016 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 25, 2016 the problem is all 4 mounting bolts had come loose over the past 65k miles. i think i've seen threadlock on most everything on this bike (but i could be thinking about the wrong vehicle, i have too many), but these are bone dry. i feel dumb that it took me so long to figure out what the noise and feeling like the bike had a "wobble"...i thought it was rear hub noise or the bearings were shot, but that's all good, i did replace the cush drive rubbers. i finally grabbed the luggage rack yesterday evening and gave it a good shaking, that revealed the problem.
