Member Contributer Skids Posted September 27, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2015 Has anyone had any issue with the knurled knob at the end of the idle adjustment on a 6th Gen seizing? Mine wont turn at all. I've not had time to remove the airbox to take a look but just wondered if this was a known issue and if there were any known fixes. Thanks. Member Contributer Egg on Leggs Posted September 27, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2015 Gareth, the problem will be at the fuel injection end, been there/done that. It will not be the cable from the knob as this is not a Bowden cable within a sheath, it is a single semi ridgid cable.
Member Contributer rhoderage Posted September 27, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2015 Not to sound silly, but did you try adjusting with a screwdriver instead of the knob? On my '02 the plastic knob doesn't really do the trick
AllWeather
Mine was seized at the throttle body end quick spray and soak with a penetrating oil and all is silky smooth and turns easily On my 2004 the adjuster is what looks like a mild steel screw on the end of the adjuster into an aluminium thread on the throttle body
