Lint
I'm running down an vibration/loose chain sound on my bike and in my lookings around, I noticed that the shifter was loose on the shaft coming out of the transmission. A 1/4 inch ratchet with a 10mm socket tightened it up. It would suck if it fell off on the road somewhere! Still looking for the engine issue. Member Contributer Cogswell Posted May 13, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted May 13, 2015 While in the general area it's also a good idea to check the sidestand bolts too - those have also been known to work loose.
Member Contributer YoshiHNS Posted May 13, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted May 13, 2015 The good thing about the shifter lever is that there is a notch in the spline, so the only way it can fall off is if the bolt completely backs out.
