VFRfix
Hi there I noticed I feel a strange lack of confidence on certian turns... I feel like my suspension could be off... is there a easy way to set this thing up?
TNRabbit
the first thing I would do is check the steering head bearings
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 25, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted April 25, 2015 Well, if it is a new, new VFR your dealer should have dialed the suspension in for you..... Search for "sag" here on VFRD and you will see what you can do. How much DO you weigh? Tire pressure ok? How long -and what- have you been riding motorcycles? Member Contributer gig Posted April 25, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted April 25, 2015 Make sure your preload is and can be set to correct static sag / rider sag.
Snowdog
What about the condition/wear of your tyres?
VFRfix
Ok I figured it out... yeha i have to screw the preloads on the fork all the way in... it has new tires but they aren't matching brand should that matter?
Member Contributer Duc2V4 Posted April 28, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted April 28, 2015 Go grab a copy of the Suspension Bible from the downloads section (if it's still there), it'll tell you all you need/want to know
