Member Contributer Dutchy Posted September 28, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted September 28, 2014 Another thing that picture illustrates, is that they did my tank skin wrong! see the logo is off, as far as placement! No, I reckon they saw Andy's beautiful build and reckoned that that is the way it should be! Vtec owners will be pleased seeing this, because till now all we have seen are compression mold examples

Voided76
I'm trying to reserve judgement.... I hope for your sake it's an injection mold kit. but the ad doesn't say anywhere that it is, and most companies that do, shout about it. It's in fact a big deal, for OEM like fitment. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Fairing-VFR800-2001-98-01-VFR800-Fairing-Kits-2000-Details/1143086_1792156850.htmlIt's compression molding.... but I coulda just saved you 150 bucks man. ya'll need to start PMing me
Member Contributer Cogswell Posted March 16, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted March 16, 2015 Just curious - do the tank skins end up leaving marks on the actual tank - so that if you go back to original would it show?

Voided76
Cogswell: Yeah they do leave scuff marks. not sure on whether they'd buff out or not. not my concern. if you already have a dinged tank, it's not so much a big deal tho. sand and black prime the hit spot, then skin it.
