Member Contributer ronimalvfr Posted April 14, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted April 14, 2013 This might be my last mod for a while.CB1000r rear wheel.I always wanted a spare rear wheel, and you can buy a brand new CB1000r wheel for $180,so I thought why not. It's something a little different to look at after 10 years.I might still get one of Jamey's F4i rear shocks. Member Contributer HumalogAddict Posted April 14, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted April 14, 2013 direct bolt in?
VietHorse
direct bolt in? Same question. Do you have any extra mod to get it fits? So you can easily go for 190 tire instead of 180 original. Hope no clash to the chain. Bigger tire looks much better.
Veefer800Canuck
yes the bolt pattern is identical, 4x100. offset/backspacing too. and it is 17x5.5 same as a VFR. Cb1000r uses a 180 rear tire also.
Veefer800Canuck
I'm not so big on the swoopy rear wheel, but if the CB1000R swingarm and shock could be used, that might be interesting. I have no idea if it could be persuaded to fit or not. It would look especially good if one were to swathe it in carbon fibre. There are swingarm "protectors" in CF, and huggers also. There's a complete swingarm on Fleabay right now, but it's spendy.
Snake81
That is a cool wheel but my question is does the front wheel swap as easily?
