Guest
Thanks for the help guys,...... but like previously stated, those top three dont sell Metzlers, and the other has a price higher than what ive already found. Anyway,......... i may end up just buying some DOT track tires instead. Any recomendations there ?
Member Contributer Bent Posted March 5, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted March 5, 2007 I'd stay away from SW Moto. They're "my way or the highway" and integrity is an issue after I tried to deal direct with them through their web site. Their prices are cheap but not the cheapest. Just my experience. Member Contributer sunline Posted March 6, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted March 6, 2007 I have found SW moto to be excellent, good prices, sometimes the best and very fast shipping. Maybe 4 sets of Mich PR from them so far.

Guest matt_c
I have always bought mine at Cyclegear.com (though done locally), and sometimes they will have really good deals like buy a rear and get a front free, but those tires are usually Dunlop whatevers (the ones that wear out in like 36 miles) :D But their prices on Michelin PR's have been consistent with what I could have over the internet with shipping. Trace
I just ordered PPowers, and found that ronayers.com is a few bucks cheaper than even SWMoto, shipping included. Ayers charges $10 a tire, period. SWMoto has higher prices than that, with the "included" shipping. Again, it's only 5-10 bucks cheaper, but I kinda like Ayers, cuz they gave me a little discount on two big-ticket items....because I asked them for it. However, SWMoto has tires in stock and can ship right now, whereas Ron Ayers does not stock tires or tyres, so you wait a week
Member Contributer Bent Posted March 6, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted March 6, 2007 I ordered my tires someplace other than SW MOTO after being treated like shit. Only takes once for me. Glad to hear about Ron Ayres.

Member Contributer martinkap Posted March 6, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted March 6, 2007 I usually order from here: http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ALL%20TIRES/..._SportecM-1.htm they are however a bit more expensive. I think they charged me $16 for shipping. Martina

Member Contributer jeremy556 Posted March 6, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted March 6, 2007 Sometimes JoeW on this board has M3 rears for $50 + shipping. That is the reason I am running them right now instead of Powers.
Guest
Sometimes JoeW on this board has M3 rears for $50 + shipping. That is the reason I am running them right now instead of Powers. I responded to Joe's last ad for a rear M3, but never heard back from him. Anyway, i went ahead and bought some used (1/2 life by measurements) Mich. Pilot Race's $100 for the pair. Anyway, they worked great, and i felt very confident on them. The rear wore nicely !
hawglet
Let me think a while, someone was just advertising Pilot Powers for $100 front/ $100 rear and Race deeply discounted as well (don't remember that amount though) plus $8 s&h per tire. I'll do some looking in my browser history and see what I can come up with, if anything.
Guest
The fruits of my recent research, for what it's worth, for Michelin Pilot Road tires in Jacksonville, Florida: Cycle Gear, if tires are bought thru them, charges $20 per tire (off bike), or $30 per tire, if tires are bought elsewhere. For a front and rear Michelin Pilot Road it worked out roughly as follows: Cycle Gear (buying the tires thru them): $264 for tires, $40 for mounting, $304 total. All other prices are internet incl shipping, plus mounting at Cycle Gear ($60). Tire Express: $258.98 for tires, $60 for mounting, $319 Ride Direct: $244.95 for tires, $60 for mounting, $304.95 Competition Accessories: $257.99, $60 for mounting, $317.99 SW Moto: $249.90, $60 for mounting, $310 Some minor rounding in above. Ride Direct had the best deal at this point in time on the tires, if you want to mount your self. Hope that helps someone out there.
