  1. It is amazinq what upgrading the wiring did for my VFR. Now running heated grips, electric jacket liner and regular bike stuff I never run lower than 13.6. Oh the warmth! PS using a 35 dollar R1 reg from ebay. I think it is a 2002 model but not sure.
  2. I scored enough M1 at wallyworld to keep me going for quite awhile. for some reason they were discontinuing the stuff and had it all on sale. Bought 5 or 6 5 liter jugs for half price and they had something like a dozen qts marked at a buck. Cleaned em out. This is all gold cap 15-50 change 6 or 7 thousand mile intervals and the vfr has 50000+ now with zero problems. Long before the engine fails the rest of the bike will have fallen apart, stress cracks, corrosion etc.

  7. It is very important to set front and back suspension. I rebuilt my front end with racetech and springs, Fox shock and spring. First test ride had bike walloing all over the road. Increased preload on Fox shock till wallowing disapeared. This was after setting sag in the garage. Since then bike has tracked beautifully. Replace oil in forks every 10 or 15k. Last time I used royal purple syn auto trans fluid. 7wt I believe and works great. Dont remember all the shim stack settings, compression tube length etc. as was to long ago but bike is much better than stock. Spring rates were deduced from calculators on the web sites.
  8. Had same problem; everything checked out but charging pattern was the same as yours. Finally pulled the side cover and found stator was cooked, very dark brown on some windings. Changed stator and all has been happy. I use a late model R1 rr as the honda ones are ridiculous expensive. Good luck...
  9. Hmm, interesting, I am running PCll with full system; no cat, no o2 etc. All I did was take the o2 sensors and zip them to the bottom of the bike. Still plugged in just hanging basically from the bottom of the engine. Dont remember exactly where I tied em off to but it has worked fine for 35000 miles. 107 rear wheel hp on Mike Velascos dyno. Used a micron map for 92 octane gas that was on dynojet website. That was the best one we found for mix and power after a number of dyno runs. Mike said no problem hanging the o2 gizmos and never has been one.
  10. Most all small towns have a NAPA store; NAPA filters are made by Wix a very good brand and they have filters to fit most anything including Hondas. What I use...
