The book? Honda V4 : The complete Four-Stroke Story The writer? Greg Pullen I found this searching Honda on Amazon. For $8 you get an electronic Kindle version. This book is close to a complete history of Honda itself as Greg sets the scene for the evolution of the V4 against Honda's racing ambitions, Soichiro Honda's engineering quirkiness and the wider culture of the Honda Motor Company. It is a must have for any VFR owner. Very recent as it covers the 8th Generation VFR800. Has an excellent graphic of a VFR1200 too ...

Quick question - I have an '02 Non-ABS... looking to buy a used OEM ABS rear shock with remote preload adjust. I have found a fellow who will sell me one for a reasonable price - it has only been ridden for 10,000km (~6k miles), but has been off the bike for just over a year (he upgraded to a Penske). He has advised that I should have the shock refilled since it has not been under pressure/load for a year. Is this necessary? I wouldn't think so, as I'm imagining buying an OEM unit from Honda that may have sat on a shelf for 5 years... but maybe its different if it has been ridden on versus not? Feedback appreciated!! Thanks Mike

Anyone else here able to share their experience with Traction Control? On my commute there are a couple of intersections where the road has a slightly bumpy moderate hump. Park Avenue in the 60s, for fellow NY'ers. I can, with a fair amount of predictability, trigger the TC in those sections crossing Park. When it triggers it tends to linger in a fairly annoying fashion. It feels and sounds like a rev limiter when it happens. I'll try to post a video shortly to illustrate. What say thee?

Hi, new to VFRD, I'm a fairly new rider, this is my second bike. It's an '02 VFR800 with about 15k miles I am having charging problems, but could always get the bike to start. I put a new battery in the bike and was going to check the voltage at idol and 3kRPM's but now the bike wont start, the engine turns over fast enough, but will not attempt to run. Any ideas??
