  1. eBay - Right Hand Air Vent Fairing Slats
  2. With how clean everything is, the previous owners must have had that cover off quite often. I'm really surprised they weren't better about replacing the c/s sprocket more often and general chain maintenance. /s
  3. Is that the exhaust you run?
  4. Just wait for the SMC to seize, plenty of heat in the rear then. 🤣
  5. Sometimes the rear pads can be the same configuration, but a different compound or thickness, resulting in a different part # too.
  6. Please update with some dimensions when you receive.
  7. Same part number used on the VTR1000F. Perhaps that will increase your search area. There is a used one on eBay, maybe they will take a measurement for you. eBay VTR petcock
  8. I typed a longer response (in agreement) but deleted it because we are technically talking about oil now. And we know how this goes. I'm just gonna give another: 👍
  9. 👍
  10. This is gonna turn into an oil or tire thread I can feel it... but... You have an overall (db) limit to stay under for the bike to pass EPA (or equivalent) requirements. ANYTHING you can do to save some noise can be spent elsewhere and the loud gear drives are eating up a bunch. You can then "spend" some (db) on things like intake and exhaust to help make the power you want. It's also part of the reason they put in heavy spring loaded split gears on the cams. No spring loaded gears here:
  11. Then why do my 86s have them on the Left side too? Generator knock? Honestly, I don't think they can discriminate which sound they might be dampening. When I swapped frames on the RC26 I prepped another engine and harness to have a head start before swapping components. Original engine I left them out, new one had them intact. I really couldn't tell a difference.
  12. '86/'87 has one on the Generator side too.
  13. Pro tip: If you use the "link" function you can custom shorten the text of your link and be briefly descriptive. Doesn't really matter I know.
  14. Amazon listing for the muffs: MoGee Muffs, Weatherproof Bike Handlebar Mittens, Fleece-Lined
  15. I already have useful results. I wanted my hands warm, and they're fucking warm. I don't want to plug in apparel or install Hippo Hands. Everybody else can do whatever they want.
  16. I guess I should tell my warm hands that. Don't think they'll care, just like me.
  17. Perhaps a plate for the silencer with high-heat 3M. It could accompany the plate of the muffler of choice (or even replace it). Thin enough to custom shape for the curvature of the specific muffler before applying. Our planner at work laser engraves thin metal business cards, I had him put a Honda wing on mine.
  18. That's a little harsh. Just cuz you don't like the idea doesn't mean they don't work well for different people in different circumstances. I don't ride enough in the cold to want to plug in clothing and have cords hanging out. But every now and then, the heated grips on my ST1100 certainly don't feel really dumb. They feel really nice. And they are a just a push of a button away when I want them. And when I don't, I'm still wearing my favorite gloves.
  19. EMGO (or Genuine Honda) mirrors for the 2000-2001 VFR. Bolt on, no condoms. Just flip the rubber spacer and it will better match the profile of the base. I can take a close up pic later if you want.
  20. Everything, including the gas cap and petcock. The bolts that attach it to the frame might be the same
