Yeah that is a sweet scheme; the reflections in the rear cowl and tank make the paint look real, in case it was actually photoshopped.
  2. Yeah the connection between Kremling and Steam Boat via Gore Pass is far more exhilarating than Rabbit Ears... I wish it wasn't so affected by the beetle kill though :( P.S. Last year I contacted forest service to ask why the camp ground at Gore Pass was closed and they said it was for "routine maintenance"... looks like it's been closed for at least 10 years. Anybody know how long and the real reason?
  3. way to get that stock 6th gen leaned over... would've looked more impressive with those hard cases mounted ;) EDIT: Just realized, was that taken at IMI in Erie? I've always considered riding on the road coarse, but it seems a little short for anything bigger than a kart.

    Great line-up

SWEET. we need a pic like that from Colorado... what do you say CO guys?
  5. ^For all replies above at what mileage did you replace the fuel filters or were they replaced for a different reason? Maybe you could edit your posts and put a new line in at the bottom that says "Filter replaced at ____ miles/kms". It would be useful to come to an agreement on a service interval for the fuel filter, since it's not called out in the Honda manuals.
  6. ^ Excellent pictorial summary on fuel filter replacement, Speedball! Regarding fuel filter replacement for 5th gens: Does anybody have a suggestion on a service interval for this in-tank fuel filter? Surprisingly the service manual nor operation manual state anything about a time/mileage/km for replacing this filter. Section 5-59 of the service manual describes removal/installation but that's it. I consulted Sun Honda service for recommendations: after long hold time... change every 24k-30k miles. My bike has 20k and runs as it should, but currently doing all preventative service to prepare for spring riding.

...AWESOME! Is that a HONDA sticker on the lower edge of the front fairing?
  9. DAAAAAMN! I love custom fab jobs. Great idea and good job on implementing it, Magellan....
  10. Nice mill! Good job on the fixture, looks pretty rigid. Just out of curiosity, did you consider machining the original race bore to an oversize, and then pressing a collar into that? I'm just concerned that the TIG may have over stressed or increased the hardness of that part of the frame... None the less, it looks like it got the job done and you did it right :D

  13. Gordon, Is that a real license plate or is that photshopped? Eitherway, I like it :D
  14. Nice job! Excellent write up, and the pictures are worth a thousand words. P.S...That's the toughest looking quality supervisor I've ever seen :D
  15. WOW, that is a nice looking section. Nothing beats riding the mountain passes, honestly :D
