I'm with vfruknee, only I don't have a second bike to trade. I would love to do that trip someday. Camping out is fun. Solo riding and camping out in the mountains is refreshing for the soul.
Great scenery, thanks for sharing, Miguel.

Every time you post pictures of southwest Colorado I get homesick. What lovely country.
When I left Dillon last year I stopped at a brew pub in Gunnison and shortly west of there turned south on SR 149 which goes through Creede and the highway becomes SR 160 at a little town called South Fork. From there I revisited by old haunts in Pagosa Springs, then on to Durango and up the Million Dollar Highway.
I can't remember if this place was in Silverton or Ouray, but very busy. Looks like a cross between a mountain man's rendevous and a brewpub.
There's a town on 149 on called Lake City. I stopped and gassed up there and chatted with the locals. I learned that there is a popular unimproved dirt road from Lake City heading west to somewhere close to Ouray. From Ouray you can take another such road to Telluride. I was wondering, Miguel, if you ever rode that on your dirt bike?

By the way, those two horses probably have more torque than your new ride . . . just saying!

How was the range compared to the 'ole girl? Nice to see the Sangre de Cristo mountains where I used to backpack in high school.
We're happy that you're enjoying your new bike. Hope to see you at the PNW meet.

Too bad you got busted. How fast? What was the speed limit?
I got busted in Montana doing 85, paid $50 no record, no points. Other than that, I've been lucky cause I drive fast on occasion.

We always appreciate how hard you try to attend all the various VFRD rallies. Great pictures and what a life it is to have such great bikes VFRs and great country to ride in and great company. What's not to like?
