  1. That seems like a better deal than the two Condor mounts I bought for ~$20 each. http://store.condor-lift.com/products.php?product=Mount-Type-Helmet-Hanger
  2. I like the Blues. Interlagos blue... If you're interested there are a lot more pics of the color HERE You planning on doing a lot of the work yourself? If so, I've got a set of 6th gen fairings you might as well bang out at the same time... :pissed: Otherwise seems like a lot of money relative to the value of the bike just to change the color.
  3. Maybe they didn't have comprehensive coverage.
  4. it's already been stolen...
  5. I will have to break out my list as it is quite long but............ I hate it when my wife just files important stuff instead of leaving it on the desk forever where I could have found it....maybe  Lucky. Mine just throws it away. Looks sweet.

I was really concerned about the short clutch lever because my commute used to be stop and go traffic up the FDR. While I found it far more comfortable to use two fingers only, instead of my whole hand, I still found far less fatigue in my hand with the short lever. It seems to require a lot less force to pull in. YMMV You don't 'stop and go' on FDR. You squeeeeeze and go :warranty: Of course this advise is coming from me, so take it with a grain of salt :comp13: True, true. You have to start somewhere and I find that it still requires a lot of clutching. I don't just go screaming through like some people I have seen. It does seem counter-intuitive, but even two fingers on the clutch feels like less effort that than a whole hand on the stock clutch

  8. Well, I bought my bike with staintunes, so I've never heard it with a stock exhaust, but it's sounds good both with and without the baffles. I wouldn't expect it to be as quiet as stock though... Even the stock exhaust is going to be loud at 10k rpms...
  9. So sorry to hear. Glad it wasn't worse...
  10. Great, if true, because a quick look at the catalog shows that ALL pre-2009 PCIIIs (except for all Harleys and some BMWs) have part numbers ending in "-411"! I'll see what comes up on ePay under "Honda", as that would be the most likely to have the right connectors, methinks... Unfortunately, it is NOT true. :goofy: I bought a VTEC -411 from a member here (thanks--not your fault!) because it was available and was the right price, but after getting it in my hands it is clear that a VTEC PCIII will NOT work on an 800Fi, due to the connectors being different, and the wires not even being the same colours (so no swappy swappy). Both Power Commander units I have (an older PC-II that came with the bike and the VTEC PC-III) use ten wires from the ECU, but on the VTEC unit four or five of those wires are solid black, whilst only one of the wires on the PC-II unit are black. It may still be possible to make it work, but not without some serious effort and diagnostics that I simply don't have time for. In trying to be helpful, we have all passed on information that has turned out to be false (I know I have...), but please, guys, try to avoid speculation on things like this. For me, the money isn't a big issue, but the time I'm going to lose sourcing a PC-III for my bike could mean I won't be able to get the Torocharger installed before I have to back to the UK. Ciao, Oh snap! I passed on bad info... I'm going to edit my posts... Ah, um, maybe not so fast... Maybe I should have said, "unfortunately, it is NOT true...as far as my pitiful ignorance is concerned, which includes an apparent inability to RTFM!! To set the record straight, I STILL don't know if it is true, because although I have discovered that there is a set of the correct connectors on my fifth-gen bike, I managed to re-sell the 6th-gen Power Commander before I figured this out. My confusion came from the fact that the PC-II on the bike now connects in a different place than the PC-III USB. The former plugs into the bike's ECU, whilst the latter plugs into the middle of the bike's wiring harness, under the left-side fairing sort of under the tank. When I removed all of the bike's fairings last night in preparation for the A&A supercharger installation I found the second set of connectors (which appear to be the same as on the PC-III USB unit I had dutifully sent to it's new owner yesterday afternoon!). Then I went onto the PowerCommander Web site and downloaded the Y2k VFR PC-III installation instructions, which show the bloody thing plugged into those connectors, rather than the ECU connectors... So, given that the correct connectors are indeed there, I imagine that the "rumors" about all -411 PC-IIIs being the same are fairly likely to be true. Oh, well. Ciao, Oy, now I'm really confused. It's true, it's not true, it may still be true... I need a beer.
  11. Not to get off subject. I always "thought" the song said "Your chicks for free".... guess I'll have to pay attention to the whole song next time... yes, it is chicks for free.
  12. So, whatever did happen with your bike????

  14. My local (if you can call it that seeing as it's in NJ) Cycle Gear said the same thing. I don't understand how offering two different prices for the same exact service is not illegal.
  15. More Info...who woulda thunk it? Thanks
