  1. Just wanted to run this by the forum in case maybe I'm missing a bigger issue than what might be happening. Rode up to Lake Tahoe from SoCal, we booked it up the US-395 averaging 80-90MPH. Parked, ate lunch, walked around for a bit. Bike sat for 3 hours after the 9 hour hot ride up. We gear up and start heading out. Bike keeps stalling out on low throttle input while feathering the clutch since I was at a standstill. I shut the bike off, walk it over to the side, then try to start it again. Bike starts to idle ok, I give it a little throttle and it stalls out. I start it up again and immediately give it a lot of throttle this time maintaining over 3k RPM, bike starts to warm up and engine runs. After the warm up, engine ran fine. Thoughts on what's wrong!

    Nice, one of my favs.
  3. The motorcycle reservoir cover ram ball mount base is a great idea. I've been looking for something like this so that I could mount the GPS and still run steering stem mounted steering damper. Thanks for the suggestion! http://www.amazon.com/Mounts-Multi-Fit-Reservoir-KAWASAKI-SUZUKI/dp/B003CMNXIO/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1375575727&sr=1-1&keywords=RAM-B-346U
  4. I know I'm resurrecting a thread from the dead, summer is here and I want to see some activity on better cooling. The Honda VTR1000F / Superhawk / Firestorm was available from 1998-2005, seems the fan is the same across all the years according to the part numbers. Was there any progress to adding any other additional cooling such as a fan to the RHD radiator? I know that it has been talked about using an RC51 5 row oil cooler and one member did that mod on his 5th gen. I haven't seen it done on a 6th gen, or at least it hasn't been mentioned. I remember one VFR owner using aluminum extruded cooling finned tubes to connect his radiators for added cooling since he had to down size his RHD radiator to fit the supercharger. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/907143887/Aluminum_extruded_parts_with_cooling_fin.html http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/907130128/Aluminum_extruded_cooling_fin.html http://www.gearainey.com/opencms/opencms/grc/en/Air_Cooled_Heat_Exchangers/Finned_Tubes.html

Mounted to the chin bar on my helmet. I highly recommend that everyone "camera up" because so much could happen while riding.
