  1. Sounds like a epic trip. Glad your O.K. It's less of a headache to replace the plastic upper and lower. It will come with decals and paint color will match. The body shops will cost around the same amount plus the cost of decals. Check with partzilla or ron ayers. They have the best prices online and have free shipping. Part number# upper cowl- 64205-MCW-K40ZA $366.48 lower right cowl- 64310-MCW-K40ZA COWL, R. FR. $378.05 Front fender 61100-MCW-D00ZR FENDER $125.05
  2. what year is your vfr?
  3. Thanks. for the clarification I was having trouble understanding the manual and, haha yes should of bought a 5th gen. I catch myself browsing ads for clean 5th gen
  4. hey guys. I'm gonna tackle the start valve sync on the vtec in a few days but have a question about the map sensor hose. do you leave that unplug or do I cap off? Thanks
  5. CONGRATS!!! I'm thinking of installing a Headlamp modulator and wonder which one you used and how complicated is it to install? I T-boned a left turner about 2 months ago on my s1000rr. luckily the abs worked great. slowed me down enough to just tapping him.
  6. just finished the vfrness. betweeen this thread and few questions to tightwad. it took 20min from start to finish. oaxgard all connections I can see. now it starts up stronger, maybe it me. glad I got it done and ease my mind cheers everyone.
  7. Thanks Badelman Just received a shipment notice from Joshua that vfrness shipped usps ( 2 days priority ) :) Can't wait to install it and have a piece of mind. I will keep you guys posted with pix on the install. Need to ride the Vfr more spending a lot of time on the s1000rr. Thanks again. I must say to everyone this is by far the best forum...
  8. Badelman, glad you got the bike back and running. wow thank you all for this very informative thread. I have a 07 and now getting VERY paranoid. don't have problems yet. thought honda fixed it but........ I have 2 questions for all. 1. by installing the vfrness will this prevent this problem from happening or do I also need to replace the R/R ? 2. Any tips when installing the vfrness ? I got the instructions off the wiremybike but I heard the 06 on is a little different? I'm pretty mechanically inclined but once it gets to electrical i'm nervous. also planning a 300 mile trip up to the sierras and dont want to get stranded. once again thank you all (Badelman) for posting up end results. alot of thread I searched (not this forum), the original poster don't follow thru and post end results. cheers everyone
  9. Jamie, I'll be calling you in the next few weeks to order the kit and shocks...for a 6th gen. Do you have the rear shock in stock?

  11. I am also pondering on the Idea of rotating the triangle. I have no Idea on how to cut and weld the kick stand nor do I want to shell out $150 for a adjustable one. So this pass weekend I raised the forks 10mm and it helped, I can get both ball of my feet on the ground now. took it for a test ride and it feels fine. turn in takes less effort and still very stable in a straight line, over bumps. no tank slapper happened under hard acceleration so I'll just leave the rear triangle link alone for now. just wanted to share this info if someone on the same boat like me. Eric
