  1. You'll be fine. I managed my 6th Gen and recently my 5th Gen without too many issues and I am a skill-less f*ck-knuckle! As long as the kit is good quality you shouldn't have any issues.
  2. Yes, I read that. Don't wait for any wisdom or solutions from me.
  3. As my hi-level GPR pipe has finally arrived and I can measure the internal diameter of the link pipe, can anyone remember what the external diameter of the WiLD headers at the link pipe joint are please?
  4. Did he read it on Faceberk, Twatter or done other such places? It has to be true if it's on social meeja!
  5. Only 2 left, and it's a US site, not available on UK Dekevic site. Would these do instead? 42mm x 33mm x 4mm Copper Exhaust Gasket - Motorcycle Products Ltd.
  6. The alternative definition of an expert; an 'ex' is a has-been and a '(s)pert' is a drip under pressure. 😁 Only works if you speak it, not write it.
  7. Wasnt suggesting it was a bad thing, just interested. We all love these bikes yet remove and replace so many things that I sometimes wonder what is left of that thing that we wanted so much in the first place. I've done the same, though nowhere near such a professional job, on my 01, and I'm still waiting for the headers and a new end can. You may not understand the reference but it sometimes seems a little bit like Trigger's broom.
  8. Good call. Just ordered 5 (4 + spare) genuine Honda exhaust port gaskets from David Silver Spares. I'll hold off the link pipe gasket and studs. With an sub-9000 mile engine that's in really good nick, I can't see any deterioration on the studs so I'm going to soak them in WD-40 (is there anything better?) closer to the time when I take the fairings off - got some riding to do on her when the weather improves.
  9. Just checked out your posts on the forum you linked to for your previous VFR800 projects. It's a shame the pictures have been dropped - do you have any you could post on here? You clearly have the skillset to do this and I'm sure we'd all like to see how you get on with one of the best engines, fitting it into something I know not what of. Can't help with selling parts in the US either, sorry.
  10. They've all said it, unbelievably skilled and determined work. Thank you for sharing. Just a random thought; how much of the original bike is still there? %? edit: and a 2nd thought....HOW FAST? We're talking 0-60 and 0-100 I guess, plus standing 1/4. Can you get the power down without spinning the rear? Can't imagine 200+hp in a bike so small, that's as many horses as there are in my baby Merc. I was lucky enough years ago to have a quick ride on a blown 5th Gen in a car park at Silverstone. Wheelying on the throttle at 120 in 3rd was impressive......and not a little scary! 😆
  11. Everywhere! Thanks for the update Duc, best wishes for the future.
  12. I never fail to marvel at the skills demonstrated on this forum.
  13. Thank you so much m8, really appreciate all the work you and Duc are putting into this.
  14. @sfdownhill - do you have any idea when these might start to ship? Not trying to pressure you but I'm just trying to figure when I'm going to fit it and therefore when I need to source the other bits and pieces too.
  15. I'm guessing this bike is more for show than riding.
  16. Interestingly, the RBM (EVO) is cheaper than a PCV; £376 vs £432. So I guess I'll go with the RBM but I may need to ask on here for some assistance setting it all up once I've got the WILD headers and hi-level fitted.
