    Pop

Having that eight spoke on the rear doesn't hurt either, but I agree, it really makes the red Pop!
  2. Great job, HS! That is such an awesome area to ride in. Even better than Talimena!

    Maggie's

Nope, that is not Bettie. That is the first 800FI 5th gen to appear in the Tulsa area when they first came out. One of the owners of Honda of Tulsa bought it for a demo. Then later his sales manager bought it, then my friend Roger, who was a salesman for then bought it and his son, Scott, had to have it. Scott is still riding it today. Seems he can't find anything better! Ernie

We figured this would be a good place to eat. And it was. The burgers appeared to be hand made but they made up for in taste what they lacked in cosmetic appeal. Service was excellent too! Main street Tahlequah,OK. Across the street from the town square.

Larry AKA Lobster had let me know he was going to be in the area this week and I was fortunate enough to arrange for some work in Little Rock so we could meet for breakfast. Took this picture in Alma, Arkansas on 5/20/08. Larry had been to Atlanta, Birmingham, Pine Bluff and Hot Springs. When I could not meet him on Monday I suggested a route through eastern Oklahoma up Talimena Drive, which I had just ridden with HS and GSwanson a couple of weeks earlier. Judging by the grin, I think he liked the route. I had bought some of his mirror extenders a couple of years ago. It was great to get to meet him. He was heading for the Pig Trail last time I saw him. :fing02:

I agree but there is something fishy about those mirrors.
  16. The bad news is I didn't find the glasses. The good news is I had to ride the Skyway in the opposite direction. What a blast, and it was great to meet HS and the Texas boys for the first time, and good to see Gary again. We are old dirt bike buddies, right Gary? I left my house that morning at 7:00 to meet HS and Gary. It was 42 degrees then, up to about 85 or so by afternoon then down to 66 or so by the time I got back home, 13hrs and 558 miles later. It was a great day. Wish I could have gone on with the rest of you. Maybe next year. Great writeup and video Miguel. Have you got the electrical gremlins straightened out?
  17. I'm kinda familiar with this view but we weren't on any track.
  18. The picture made my day but the video was icing on the cake. Nice job on both accounts HS! :fing02:

You will probably never have a better tasting piece than that one you had in the Dharan mess hall! Thanks for sharing the story and for your service in uniform!
