8200rpm Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 The OE 30-37mm hose clamps (19516-GAG-003) are almost $10 each! I know there are generic worm drive hose clamps available through various sources but the bands seem much wider than the OE bands (~8mm). Anyone have experience trying to use generic auto store bands or finding a similar substitute for the narrow band OE parts? Quote
mello dude Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 The OEM parts are just very average quality anyway, so I have no problem heading down to the auto part store (Autozone) and grabbing whatever hose clamp(s) I need. If you wanted to go high tech, there's the Gates heat shrink clamps.. I would like to try sometime. Quote
Member Contributer Cogswell Posted December 3, 2019 Member Contributer Posted December 3, 2019 Ebay has hose sets removed from 5th and 6th gens which often include the clamps. I've seen them in the $20 to $30 range, so if you shop a bit you could probably pick up many of the OEM clamps for not much $ and toss the hoses if you don't need 'em or want them as spares. Quote
