99% of the time my turn signal dosnt work.

the right hand side, so every time I want to turn right I need to put my thumb on the leaver, once in a while it flashes after putting my thumb on it for a good 20 seconds then it goes on.

any thoughts what could trigger it?

Sorry mate, don't have any information on a Ducati monster! But if you are saying the left side works and only the right side has issues, I'd be say your switch is dicky, maybe just needs a good clean and a squirt of WD-40.

Are we playing "guess the bike"?  I'm going to go with a 2014-on VFR800F.

What do I win?

On my 5th gen the connector sometimes comes loose on the front indicators. Just needs a firm hand to put back.

If it’s both front and rear indicators on the right then your switch needs attention. Open it up, clean and spray wd40 or contact cleaner as suggested.

Your Profile Information states Location- Victoria Australia, In My Garage - Ducati Monster !

What year VFR800? A bit more specifics about your bike and it's  issues would help greatly!
