Ian01
I just installed some helibars- put everything back together, and now some of the controls don't work. It starts and the headlights work... the turn signals, hazards and horn do not work. Many ideas? Could have blown a fuse or something ? Thanks guys

Ian01
Thanks - I figured it must be a fuse - I'll have to check in AM.... could simply taking halves apart on controls cause a fuse to blow? Seems strange
Member Contributer Terry Posted August 23, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted August 23, 2017 Might pay to check the brake light switch, it can be rotated far enough that the terminals can touch the metal bar and cause a short that would take out a fuse. I hope that's it - the switch was loose and flopping around during the install
Ian01
Weird - brake lights work, ignition works, brights work but no hazard, turn signals or horn
Member Contributer Terry Posted August 23, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted August 23, 2017 Maybe check the connector for the left bar switch pod and makes sure it hasn't been partly pulled apart during the Heli install.

Ian01
I'm on my way to buy a 10 amp fuse... I see one located in the compartment (in front of the front brake lever) blew
Ian01
I replaced the fuse and the turn signals started working again. When I slid the emergency lights switch, the fuse blew. Since I never used emergency lights before, I'm not sure if it was problematic before my helibars. Anyways, I don't plan to ever use the emergency lights-so....
