mistervifferdoggydoo
I found a bike for 5500 and 4 thousand miles. it is a 2007 vfr. beautiful condition. Should I buy it?? I would really like to give the vfr a new home.. should I be worried about the extreme low miles given the age? it is at a third party dealership, is this all good? thanks
Member Contributer thtanner Posted November 12, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted November 12, 2016 Low miles is a good thing! The only thing of note is make sure the tires are newer as the original tires would be too old to be safe. Make em throw them in for free!
Sweeper
Low mile VFR's are pretty common so go for it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Member Contributer Cogswell Posted November 12, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted November 12, 2016 Sounds nice. Is it Candy Red or Red/White/Blue? Another thing that might be worth checking is to look inside the tank for any signs of rust. Unfortunately that wold be most prevalent at the bottom where you won't see it if there's much if any fuel in it. If you express sincere interest they should be willing to get the fuel out so you can look. This is a great time of year to buy. Dealerships are ghost towns right now and they're usually more worried about cash flow over the winter than profit. That's a pretty fair price, but I would bet the dealer will be willing to negotiate, especially if you can pay cash on the spot. Good luck!
