Greytec
Next to the A and B tripmeters the new VFR has another tripmeter that automatically resets with every new trip. Mine says 'zero' all the time. I remember reading about this issue somewhere, but can't find it anymore... Somebody?? Greetings, Mark
Member Contributer Jochem Posted April 15, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 15, 2016 That would be the mileage countdown meter. Ref page 22 in your User Manual. "Distance travelled is subtracted from a preset figure"
Shinigami
Better change the title of thread to "didn't read the manual" LOL

vtwindr
do people really set it at eg 150miles then stop when they hit the target! Seems utterly pointless
Member Contributer Rectaltronics Posted April 15, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 15, 2016 I always thought the speedo was pointless, LOL...
Member Contributer MadScientist Posted April 15, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 15, 2016 I would never take the time to do it myself, but it could be used to set distance to your destination so you know how much further you have to ride for the day. Alternatively, it could be set for oil change/maintenance interval but the maximum distance is too short for this. I've seen this on bikes without a fuel gauge too, but that isn't the case here. I concur, though, useless feature. My 599 has one and I've never used it.
Greytec
Thanks! Now I know why people say RTFM!! I have seen the setting when I changed the clock a couple of weeks ago... don't want to use it. Greetings, Mark
