Given the bright yellow color, the Varadero could belong to a rider opening the road for oversize load trucks. It used to be a police/gendarmerie job, but not anymore. These riders have to have yellow bikes. I hope you have a chance to ride "la Corniche des Cévennes" before you go. It's road D9, north of Montpellier, between Florac and Saint-Jean-Du-Gard, on top of the crest. 50 km of very nice road, very nice view, maybe a bit busy with dutch caravans on a Saturday though :-) (random picture from Internet) A video from a ride last year starting here in Florac: https://youtu.be/bAo91Qrx5w8?t=10m15s Anyway, have a nice time in South of France!
