Member Contributer Skids Posted September 22, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted September 22, 2014 These 3 go head-to-head in the Nov 14 issue of Bike magazine, a UK publication. I wonder which they'll prefer? Bike verdict: It’s easy to see the BMW as a premium brand, and the F800GT is highly capable, nice to use, comfy, efficient and has tasty options. But something is missing – it hasn’t the impact of the Kwak and lacks the feel and quality of the Honda. It’s easy to see why the Kwak sells. It feels like great value with of-the-moment electronics, adjustable screen, comfort, storming performance, panniers and useable handling. It’s less able on a trackday than expected and less frugal than the BMW but remains an enticing package. What it doesn’t have is the Honda’s class. The VFR is simply the nicest motorcycle. It’s the classy choice, with a blend of sporting ability and practicality that proves a traditional sports tourer is still entirely valid. The 800 is best on track, soothing over miles, feels quality with every contact and causes loving glances the others just can’t generate. It’s not the cheapest, fastest or most modern. But it’s a keeper. Nice!
