Guest 683
This started over 3 years ago. I had this posted up but thread looks like it is gone. I bought this and the guys said it ran.. it didnt I then bought 2 more one ran. one didnt, it was a parts bike with a engine full of water. I made one from three, painted it flat black and road it for 1500 miles that year. That winter I pulled it apart to a certain degree and redid seals, rear shock, Seb rebuilt the forks, bought new tires, braided brake lines in 2011 I bought a used BMW R1200 GS to replace my 1100 and liked that bike so much the VF was relegated to a tent in the back yard where it sat until yesterday. Now it is on the lift and I am going to restart the project.

timmythecop
Nice! (although you had me at flat black). I have a ton of stuff for those bikes so if you have any needs, let me know.
Member Contributer Polarbear Posted April 14, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted April 14, 2013 Great!! But where do you find all that time Timmy? I'm impressed to see how much you are getting done these days. This being said, I am looking forward to seeing the progress on this one. Good luck! à C PS For the mechanically ignorant such as me, how the heck do you get an engine full of water????
