Jdog109socal
After many attempts to video Cerro Noroeste Rd with out a camera issue i got it. We set out Dec 29th on a Pine Mountain loop out of Ventura. Roads where pretty clear and dry the whole route. Enjoy the ride Happy New Year Jdog
Member Contributer vanion2 Posted January 3, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted January 3, 2012 Never a good idea to show the speedometer on video (especially if you live in the Socialist State of California) but it certainly looks like you had some fun. VFR4Lee
Nice video, Jeff. That is a great road, gotta love it. I think it matters little what your speedo says there, it's BFE. Very little traffic, few patrols between Frazier Park @ the 5 on the east, and the west end of the road. Do what you want. Just my experience. Just don't crash anywhere out there. It takes forever to get a tow truck, based on a friends experience. Lucky he wasn't hurt. An ambulance would also take a long time. It's BFE after all. Member Contributer MBrane Posted January 4, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted January 4, 2012 viffergyrl & I did that loop New Years Day. Very little traffic, and temps in the 70s. It was so clear you could see Soda Lake from the top of Cerro. There's a reason it's known as Cerro No Arreste in certain circles, but we did see a polar bear CHP at Pine Mountain Club as we were getting ready to leave after lunch. Wonder what he was doing up there? Nice enough guy, but glad it was a social rather than business encounter.
