Givi top rack and trunk with OEM side cases?

Guys.....I got to play with a torch and a grinder!!

A friend of mine lent me a hand and we forged a steel adapter plate so that I could use my Givi topcase with the OEM rack. This was my first attempt at metal-working, so go light on me!

Many thanks to all of you for the suggestions as well!

this is cool. is the plate in the top right pic? i want to make one too but does it need to be a perfect shape like yours or can it simply be a rectangular plate?

it doesn't need to be shaped like mine or hollowed out in the middle, but it DOES need to fit within the outer dimensions of the givi plate. i just shaped mine like that so it would not be seen.
